Default New Christmas Bride. Your ideas on our theme?

Hi there!

Vicky here. My fiance Kerri Lynn are getting married in December with a Christmas Theme, and as such we're always on the look out for ideas to help us plan.

Some of our ideas we using right now:

red and Green Color scheme, right down to the dresses. She will be in red, and myself in Green. Our bridesmaids will be in snow white with colored sashes depending on which bride invited them.

Christmas Tree or Ponsietta Center pieces. Your thoughts?

Snowflake place cards

Tinsle and mistletoe floral decorations

The wedding cake is going to be themed as a Gingerbread castle, with various candies decorating it and a gingerbread couple cake topper.

Designated hot Cocoa and cookie stand for all guests.

We're still debating the favors. We're thinking christmas cookies right now, but not 100% sure. Any ideas?

That's the tip of the iceburg. We are still very much open to ideas, and would love to hear yours on how to make our dream wedding a reality. Thank you for your time!

Vicky and Kerri

Sounds like you have a lot of ideas going. If you do Christmas trees as centerpieces, you would also have to have bows or something to go on them, so the price may be a lot more the the poinsettia's, but personally I like the tree idea.

As for favors, what about ornaments? Actually, you could incorporate them to your centerpiece and it takes care of both of them.

Whatever you decide to do I am sure it will be beautiful.

I too love the idea of Christmas tree centerpieces!! So cute!! My Uncle did this cute Christmas tree for our holiday party and I think it'll be a great idea for you!!!

And as for the ornaments you can dress it up by having them hand drawn with a thank you on them. OR you can have a guest book but tree style and have each guest write their well wishes on the ornaments and have them hang it up on a large Christmas tree!! I love this idea!! Very unique way of having a guest book plus you can decorate your Christmas tree every year with these well wishes every year for the holidays!! Such a unique tree!!

I also love the idea of riding in a horse drawn sleigh!! The horses can have antlers on them.

Here's a lovely red Christmas wedding dress!!

Here are a few other photos for you. You can of course change the flowers to poinsettias.

I hope that helps a little.

I think a cute idea for the Christmas cookies would be to have them as the dessert with a glass of milk!! Ahhh, so cute!!

Oh, and all the wedding presents can go under a big Christmas tree, the Christmas tree all the signed ornaments are on!! (like these: http://simplyeverythingwedding.com/p...wedding-favor/)

Wow! I LOVE all of your ideas!!! That's going to be such a fun wedding, I can already tell! You guys have some AWESOME ideas!!! How about little gift boxes, like little presents that people open for the favors. Inside, it doesn't have to be big... it could even be Christmas candies and such. Maybe something like this:

What are you having for your dinner selection? You could make it all Christmas foods like Ham, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, etc...

Tailor your music to fit your theme. So, maybe during dinner hour, they play Christmas music in the background, and then maybe pick a romantic Christmas song to be your first dance song etc... My fiancé and I are doing that with a fairytale theme. Not EVERY song is fairytale - our first dance song isn't, but a lot of the other songs in our ceremony and in our reception are, so maybe you can incorporate something like that into your music.

When you say your vows, you can maybe write your own vows, and incorporate Christmas stuff in there - you're each a gift to the other one, etc...

If you do a unity candle, you can have one green taper and one red taper and the big candle can be white with green and red ribbon.

Again, I think you guys are going to have a fabulous wedding! Great idea!

Wow, these are some great ideas! Thank you everyone!

My fiance ADORES the idea of the guest book ornaments, so we'll be sure to use that, I think

I think we're leaning towards christmas tree centerpieces, and the idea of the favors as presents under the tree. Our biggest issue is deciding what the favors in the presents should be lol. We were talking beanine babies (for a cutesy child like toss back present) to more ornaments, but afraid that's overdone with the guest book. We have time to figure it out still, but it's one of the few areas we're not in full agreement on. Scandal!

our menu isn't a 100% decided, but we're more than likely going to have a chicken dish as the main entree, possibly with a veggie alternative (not sure yet as the few choices for this don't sound too appetizing).

one area of our theme we haven't decided on if we want to include Santa into it somehow. we have christmas trees, ornaments, gingerbread, hot cocoa, and just looking for other christmas traditions to incorporate into the wedding. any other thoughts are still welcome, of course

I think incorporating mistletoe is a must! For gifts, you could always do a hot cocoa with a peppermint stick.

Congrats on your upcoming Wedding. How exciting to do a Christmas Theme. There's plenty of great ideas out there to use.

IMO I wouldn't use Santa. He might take it away from the Beautiful Brides. Plus it's a WEDDING not Christmas. Christmas is great as a theme but i think Santa would take it one step too far.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. And what ideas you use.

Good Luck.
