Hi everyone,

I thought I'd post a little intro. My name is Denise and I live right outside of Chicago. I'm a high school English teacher and I have to say that I absolutely love my job.

My fiance's name is Mike. We met in Greece over the summer 3 years ago and have been inseparable ever since! We're both Greek by the way. We had our engagement party in Greece over the summer and it was such a great time! He's a lawyer, so his hours kind of suck and he is constantly bogged down with work, but he's surprisingly getting involved in the wedding plans.

Now, the hard task begins-- planning our wedding! This is certainly hard, but really fun and exciting. We're getting married in Greece over the summer of 2010. We're looking at dates at the end of July within the first week of August. Considering how far away Greece is from here, the planning is proving to be much more difficult that I anticipated. There's only so much you can do over the phone and through e-mail! In turn, my fiance and I are going to Greece right after Christmas to be able to see certain things first hand.

This is going to be an exciting journey! I can't wait to share it with you all.

Thanks girls! I can't wait to get to know everyone and really get into the planning. We haven't really done anything so far. We do have our church picked out though!

And yes, it's going to be a big fat Greek wedding. Much more elegant though! None of those big bows and Greek flags. Ha!
