OW retreat???

I was looking through some old forums last night and saw one talking about some OW ladies getting together and finally meeting. What if we got a retreat together for us to meet up? If we could figure out a safe way to get the info out and get people signed up, then I think it would be be great! I dunno... maybe just thoughts. Or maybe an excuse for a vacation... lol

The thought has crossed my mind more than once. The big bummer is we're all so spread out, it would be a costly vacation - but I'm sure well worth it

I know Allison is in Georgia, but she is still far from me and I don't travel well. I don't fly either so ... I don't think I can afford a vacation anytime soon anyway and if I could it would just be to Florida since we don't like to go too far ... I am sure I am not the only one.

Some people that live closer have met in the past and it is always fun to hear those stories and see pics

I'm a sucker for travel and I would do it, but it definitely would be a costly thing.
Didn't we used to joke about having a slumber party at Elizabeth's (serendipitycrafts) house in Canada?
I'm down for the OW beach and daquiri retreat...

Let's see here - Me, Gwen, Haley, Megan and Lauren can have a party without too much hassle traveling! There's our OW retreat LOL! Maybe different groups from around the country can plan individual meets... I'm down for a weekend to meet my OW friends in CA

Matt and I are planning a vacation to Canada sometime to see friends, so why not see Elizabeth while we're there?

I think it would be really fun... but like you guys have said, we're all SO spread out that I don't know how it would ever work. But I can think of a handful of people that live pretty near me... and it sounds like there are a few other clusters.. idk, could be interesting

I have met 2 OW members in person. I live in PA and traveled to VT to met Airforcebride (no longer on here) and GointotheChapel (Amanda). Actually Amanda and I have met in person now a few times.
I loved meeting up with Ladies that I've chatted so much on here with! ONe day I will make it to Canada and stay at Elizabeth's. Party at her place!

I would LOVE for us to have a OW party. I'm sure it would be a TON of fun. I've seen it done on other forums, but they start planning at least a year in advance so that everyone has enough time to save up. My dad is on a forum that has an annual camping trip in the Midwest.

One of my wheeling boards - we have a meet up every September. The big trip I go on every year: that's it! It is a BLAST! However, most of the people who come are from the West Coast. We have had some people tow their rig from Florida though... twice! That's dedication!
