Default Makeup help please

I almost never wear makeup. However, I have decided to wear it for the big day. Problem is that I have no idea what I'm doing! Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Well, stick to earth tones, no outlandish colors. You want it to look like you're not really wearing makeup and especially if you never wear it, anything too over-the-top is going to draw a lot of attention, and likely make you uncomfortable about it. (Kind of like if you never wear skirts and you wear one one day, and all day all you can think about is how you look, is your underwear showing, etc.) Anyway, a lot of makeup products have directions right on the package for how and where to apply it. Almay, I believe, has a line of eyeshadows, liners and mascara specifically catered to each eye color. There are tons of tips online, and you can also go to department store makeup counters, MAC, Ulta, Sephora, etc. and typically they'll be happy to tell you tips about what would be best for you (since, of course, they're trying to get you to buy it, but you don't have to buy it.) Key tips, less is more, stay natural. You'll be beautiful.

I'm kind of in the same situation as you, so I just had one of my bridesmaids (with similar coloring to mine) to make me up with what she owned! Maybe you can do the same?

check our your department stores - you can get pre applied eye shadows that are on a small paddle you just smear over your eye - very effective and look more professional than i do mine at home normally!

Try going to your department stores. A lot of them will do a free make-up application for you and teach you how to put it on. I learned how to make my eyeshadow look really great that way years ago and I've done it every time I've worn make up since! It's so helpful!!
