Default My wedding Colors? Centerpiece?

For our August/September 2012 wedding we are having it on a 132 acre farm. Our ceremony will be outside and the reception will be in the barn....It is so georgous, I can't wait!!!

For my colors I have always loved light blue/tiffany blue/periwinkle and brown together...For a third color I was thinking cream or white? My fiance does not think these colors will look right for a country wedding??? What to you guys think?? For my centerpieces I have been testing things out. I have thought about using the glass gems(light blue, blue and clear) putting them in the bottom of a tall glass cylinder find white/cream flowers to put above them, fill the container up with water and put a tiffany blue floating candle on top. I was also thinking about finding circle mirrors to place under the centerpieces? What do you think?

I love this one I found online

That sounds beautiful! I wonder why he thinks those colors won't work?!? That's a pretty common color combination for weddings. I think it'll look lovely with the barn. And the centerpiece sounds great.

I agree. I see blue and brown working great for a barn wedding. I think there is a country feel to a barn wedding. Which I totally love. When I think of a barn, I mean other than the classic barn red of course, I think of sun loved blue paint, blue bonnet flowers, well worn blue plaid shirts (on of course the fence post and the very tan, very hot cowboy is working. Not wearing his shirt! HAHA!! ), and a classic car that has seen better days but died in someone's front yard.

Mirrors under the center piece would help brighten up the room. The center pieces you thought of sound great. You definitely need to post pictures!

I think that sounds gorgeous and those colors are pretty versatile for any location. It all depends on how you play it out.

If he's worried about it being too "Breakfast at Tiffany's" instead of country, you can easily find some photos online of the type of look you are aiming for. You could use wildflowers or other more casual flowers in those colors and it will automatically give everything a more rustic feel.

Love the mirrors and candles. I guess it's an evening reception? That's where mirrors and candles work best.

Good luck!

I think those colors are perfect for a country wedding! When discussing color ideas with my fiance I noticed he is generally put off by my suggestions, until I find some great examples of the color scheme in use and send him a link to those - maybe your guy is the same way.

I think you have chosen fabulous colors as it is different and pretty enough to be in gown of bride .It will be a suggestion for you to convince your finance if he can agree on this wedding gown and if he denies then buy a gown of his choice .There are numerous online stores which are providing this service in fast delivery to your home.
