No special date. I wanted to do it on my adoption anniversary date, but it didn't work out.

No special date for us. We knew it needed to be at least a week after I finished grad school and at least a week before when I would have to start my new job (so we'd have time for our honeymoon) so that left us two Saturdays to choose from. We went with May 23 since it was also Memorial Day weekend that year and made it easier for people to travel. When it was all said and done, DH's cousin asked "When I get married can we party for four days?" It wasn't intentional, but just worked out that way!

It was the anniversary of our first date. This way we still have the same anniversary.
