Yes, there's a contract. However, there is no time-line. And I paid her right around $2,500... maybe a bit more?

UH! That is alot of money to just let go. If it were me I would try to contact her to find out what's going on. I don't think it would be harassing her since you have a contract with her and you gave her your money to produce something and she never did.

I had a fall out with one of my clients because after 4 weeks she was literally texting me EVERYDAY multiple times a day. I explained to her that I'm also a full time student with a part time job plus photography ( I did 2 weddings right before hers) and also that the contract states I have 9 weeks. She wouldn't leave me alone so I rushed to get it done and she HATED THEM and through a huge fit and wanted to take me to court. Even though I'm pretty sure I could have won in court (b/c she was wanting the photos AND her money back) I just gave her what she wanted to be done with her.

If I were you I'd try to contact her. Just to see where things are and if she can't tell you maybe talk to a lawyer? I know I'd either want my money or my photos. And now that your willing to just get the raw photos I'd just tell her that. I know her significant other is having health issues but it's not right to just leave you without any photos.

She knows all this. She knows I want raw photos. She knows she has lawsuits against her. I've tried contacting her, she won't return my calls or emails. She returned her cousin's phone calls and texts, just saying she's "working on it." I don't want to get a lawyer involved because it's too messy. I don't care at all about the money. Getting a lawyer involved is not going to get my photos any sooner. The other lawsuits have gone no where.

So I joined a FB group for the clients of my photographer. They have made progress and gotten some pictures to the attorney! So, I am trying to get a hold of the attorney to see if my CD showed up. A lot of women are at least getting their CDs, so I have some hope! There are 41 women in the group. Some of them have their entire order, some of them have an entire CD, some have half of their photos and some have nothing still.

That I can at least get my CDs!! I don't even care about the money at this point (which the attorney says we are not likely to see!).

THIS COULD BE A BREAK THROUGH! Message today with the friend who referred me to the photographer (because it's her cousin and she had NO idea of the **** she would pull... she just knew she did great work for her!):

Me: So I called the lawyer involved in the case against JMK, again. She is looking into opening another lawsuit since they shot my wedding after they closed- which is totally illegal. Can you pass it on to them that if I just get a CD I'll have her drop the whole thing? Any luck at that party?

Her: I just sent them both a message, and begged them for a cd. Even unedited!!! I didn't even speak to them at the party. My mom forbade me, she said I wasn't allowed to start a fight there.

Her (a few minutes later): Got a message already!!! They said they turned the CDs over already, and if you haven't gotten them, they'd gladly give you the images!!!!!

Me: Omgoodness! No I didn't get a CD... but I would love the images anyway I can get them. Thanks so much!!
