Glad you guys decided on the food and it's food that both of you like!!!

I got a Kitchen Aid for a wedding present too (pink! ) and I LOVE it!!! But the dangerous thing about a Kitchen Aid is that once you have it, you're going to want ALLLLLLLLLLL the attachments!!! And unfortunately, that can get REALLY expensive! But, enjoy your Kitchen Aid. I know I do (and so does DH whenever I use it! )

I *almost* had an outdoor reception, and we priced tents, so I know from personal experience how hella expensive they are!!! But, for 20-25 people, they shouldn't be too bad (we were looking for one that held 150!) I would definitely still price them out, just so you know. Since you're getting married in June, there's always a chance of rain (well, ANYTIME you get married, there's a chance of rain! LOL!), and depending on where you live, it can also get really hot. You might want to keep your options open. I know budget is always a concern, but a tent isn't something that I'd rule out just yet - I'd price them first to see if you can find one that's reasonable that will accommodate your needs!

That's a good point, Salayia. We're still thinking of getting a table and some chairs, so I'll look at tents at the same time.

We're getting a black Kitchenaid. I thought about the pink one, though. I'll try to avoid the temptation to buy a ton of attachments, hahaha.

Some good news - I got a $10,000 raise at work (and a MacBook!), which means we might be able to move out into our own apartment! I'll have to wait until payday to find out exactly how much I'll bring home in each paycheck, but I think it would be perfect to move out a little after the wedding. My mom is also planning on moving in with her girlfriend (who has a very full house of stuff), which means she needs somewhere to put all her current apartment stuff. I'm thinking I'll fly out to Oregon at the end of July and rent a small moving truck to drive back to Illinois with a bunch of her stuff. That way, we'll keep all the family's furniture in the family, and it'll be a huge help to FH and I.

I'm mailing out invitations tomorrow (except for a few that are being hand-delivered, and I still need one address), so hopefully I'll find out soon exactly how many people will be able to come to the wedding. It's going to be a fun summer, I hope!
