eyelash dye/tint-oh and eyeshadow

so, i thought this was illegal? i could have swore, that one night when i was researching how to lighten your eyebrows, that i found an article saying it was banned in the 90's...yet last week, when my girl MADE ME FORCEFULLY go get waxed(it'd been about 2 or 3 weeks, very gross )...but it was listed in their brochure, that they did lash tint/dye...and the article i read, said it's been known to cause blindness and other issues, and was outlawed in the U.S....does anyone know what's up with that?

and another thing, i'm generally a "powder/mascara/gloss" kind of girl, but when i need to, i throw on foundation lol...i haven't worn eyeshadow in a long time, b/c it's so hard to find ones that don't crease, or that even look good on me...and it sucks buying stuff that ends up looking stupid...so how do you guys find good colors? and any recommended brands?

idk about the dye... but....

usually i go to the counters at the dept. stores when i want a new color... and have the girls put some on n if i like it and it looks good i buy it from them (usually i go to the clinique counter b/c it's not TOO expensive) or i suppose you could see what they put on then go buy something similar/cheaper at like walgreens or somethin... but i feel like u get what you pay for for the most part... i've never had clinque crease up on me. i also have some almay eyeshadow i haven't had a problem w/that...

u can also get like a base tint coat thing to put on ur eyelids BEFORE you apply eyeshadow that helps it stay put n not crease... not sure what its called i bought it at clinique tho LOL

My eye lashes are really light, but I would not dye them. I don't even like mascara cause it never works right for me.

Yeah I have heard the same thing about blindness. Seems weird to me, I wouldn't think it would be a good idea...

I've never heard about the whole blindness thing.Anywho,when I want eyeshadow,I usually go for covergirl or something along those lines.It's pretty cheap and I like the colors.I never wear anything too stand out.Usually it's neutral colors and a little sparkle that do it for me.

I get my eyelashes tinted because I'm not very good at mascara, I rub it all over the place, but if I don't wear anything my eyelashes are very pale. And to be honest getting a tint is a hell of a lot cheaper and easier than mascara! I've never had a problem, can sting a little if it gets in your eye but it just washes out. I'm in the UK.
