Just over 2 weeks ago I put in my 2 weeks notice at work. Friday would've been my last day but my boss is out of town today thru wednesday so I agreed to work untill thursday and we're gonna have a little good bye party for me.
Anyway I was searching jobs online last week and I noticed they were hiring for a Michaels that is opening like a mile from my house. So I filled out the application online. The NEXT day I got a call. We tried to set up an interview but couldn't get together for the remainder of that week. He said he'd call me on monday. Well that weekend I went camping at an amusement park and my cell phone broke! It got wet. I called the insurance company and they said they would send me a new phone, but I knew I was gonna miss his call. So I explained what happened in my outgoing message. He called Kev's phone then Kev called me at work and I left him a message. After days of phone tag, I had an interview with him on Friday.
I met him at 1:30 and we talked for over an hour! I left there really wanting the job. he made it sound really exciting but he did say he had alot of applicants so I wasn't getting my hopes up. I went back to work after the interview and worked till 5. I looked at my cell on my way home and noticed a missed call from him. He left me a message to call him on his cell at anytime. So I pulled over on my way home to call him and HE OFFERED ME THE JOB!!! Like 3 hours after my interview, I couldn't believe it.
So I will be the frame department manager! Yay! I start on August 27th, I will be training at another store and our store opens on September 30th!! I will even make a little more $$ than I do now. I was willing to take a pay cut cuz I was so miserable there. Well I don't have to!! Plus it'll only take me a minute to drive there. I'll save alot of gas $$. Just real excited and I needed to share!
Ohhhhhhhhh, He said I gotta pass my background check though, so hopefully everything will turn out okay.
