Hopefully links to this site are allowed because I found this thank you note generator that gives you a thank you note generated from a few keywords you give it.

Oh! And for finding some new words, I use this site all the time for adding flair to my writing:

Hope this helps with the thank you cards. I know it's early, but I'm already dreading having to send those!:helpsmilie:

This is a cool little thing :) As for dreading the TY's ... it isn't all that bad.

Thank you notes are 'notes', they don't always have to be formal with perfect wording ... it is better to get a simple "Thank you" than not to get one at all.

So I would say that the most important thing to do is just be sure to send out the 'Thank Yous' and do it as quickly as possible (within 3-4 weeks after the wedding) and keep in mind that it is more personal to hand-write them or at the very least hand sign them. It doesn't have to be a letter to the person, just a simple thanks for coming to the wedding and/or thanks for the gift. Nice cards and/or stationery that match the invitations are nice but are not always necessary. If you don't want to spend the extra money on matching cards, just get a nice stationary, nothing fancy but more than your grocery pad paper.

I hope this helps. Best wishes,

I've picked out our thank you cards already. Haven't bought them, but picked them out...lol. They have a rose on them and our theme is mainly roses...there's going to be roses everywhere. They even SORT OF match the invitations...but I stress SORT OF. I just keep hearing of how dreaded and awful they are to sit down and write out. I've written thank you cards for Christmas and everything, so I can't imagine it will be very difficult, but I thought that this might help anyways. At least to give me an idea of where to go.

Very Cool! I think that. I am big into personalizing my notes. I wanted to make mention in my thank you's of any gifts i received from that couple/individual. Ie. Thank you so very much for the toaster.
But.... What do i say if i received an envelope? Mark and i are hoping to use some of the money to buy new living room furniture. Should i say somthing to that extent?

If you get money just mention it as a "Gift" ... that is still what it is, right ;) And yes, it is always nice to mention what you might do with it. So if you are planning to buy some new furniture then it would be fine to say something like "Mark and I are going to put it towards some new furniture for our living room"

Best wishes,
