Ummm...suggestions on doing it quickly...well, I can't help you so much there as I have been planning for over a year now and still am not done...thank goodness I still have four more months.

My biggest suggestions, especially if you're on a budget, shop around! Compare prices for EVERYTHING.

Don't forget the tiniest details either...it may sound crazy, but the day of the wedding I'm sure you don't want your officiant wearing hot pink socks.

Last but not least, remember you love the guy you're marrying, not the fact that you get to be a bride for a day. So, no matter what goes wrong, remember at the end of that special day, you'll be married to that wonderful man.

Good luck and welcome to the site!

P.S. We have a thing for chairs...don't get scared. :bbmrgreen:

My best advice would be to keep it simple and small. Also, you don't get to be too picky about the details.

Congrats roly! & Welcome to the board! :D So when is your big day suppose to be anyway?

I agree ... weddings can be planned in a short about of time but you just have to be creative and flexible. Once I planned a wedding in a month!

I would recommend looking into public parks, gardens, community buildings and/or historical buildings for the location. These are not always booked and are you can usually get great deals on them! Or if you know someone that will let you have it at their house that would work too ;) If you go with an outdoor wedding, be sure to have an indoor back up plan in case the weather doesn't cooperate.

You can save some money with most of your vendors by getting married on a Friday or Sunday evening or even a weekday evening.

Best wishes,

I too agree w/ both of you..You can still have a beautiful wedding and keep it simple as well....Believe me it isn't as difficult as things may seem..Figure out what color sceme you want and what theme period you want and the sky's your limit..Use your creative ablities to design and create your dream...Keep w.in your budget and remember it is not the decor or Festivities that make a weddin beautiful it is the Bride and Groom that light up the room..Be yourself and make this night shine..Don't let the plans overwhelm you...They will come together beautifully!!! Best of luck hun........:goodluck:
