Ring engraving

Hello all!!!

I am trying to get my FH rings engraved, I have been quoted $2.00 a letter, is that about right????? The engraving is going to be more then the ring ha ha!

a few years ago I gave him a home plate signed by his fav baseball player and on the card I wrote I love you so much I hope we make it to home plate...

so I think I am going to say something about making it to home plate or world series or something baseball related!

I'm going to get his engagement ring engraved with "I love this bar." It's a joke between us, and "our" song, because he played it (just to annoy me) at the pub we were at on our first date, and it's stuck with us ever since. LOL....

I haven't decided what to have engraved in his wedding band yet... Probably "1 Corinthians 13:4," as we have a plaque in our bedroom with that on it, and we both just love that verse.

We had unlimited letters. We did not use many though, just our pet names:
TOOTS on mine and BABE on his.

Ugh, I need to get so many things engraved. Gosh, I guess that the cost is really gonna add up. Rings, bridesmaid gifts, groomsmen gifts champagne flutes...probably some other things too. I was thinking about getting "Put me back on!" in his ring, but I don't know if I'll regret not putting something sentimental or romantic in there.

I just called 5 places and pretty much ANY jewelry store will do it! I thinkthey charge more if you did not get the ring there, but it is around the same!

Chad is constantly losing stuff. We were cleaning out his room because his parents are moving and we found THREE Fossil watches. He lost all three of them over a mere 5 years. "Put me back on!" is just too perfect for him. Does anybody know if Jared's does engraving? I'm sure they do.

I called our jeweler (where I bought the ring) and they said it was free if we bought the ring there. I guess FI will have to go to a different jeweler for mine!

Does anyone know the recommended character limit? My guy said 20 characters -- but that seems awfully low!!

I called the THings Remembered where I live and they said they do not do rings! She said their machines can not hold them! I hope your does!
