Nicole & Kevin's lucky 7 wedding!

My wedding was THE best day of my entire life!

It all started about 9am on saturday. I was pretty tired but really excited. I still had soo much to do. I picked up Nicki and we headed to the salon. We had fun getting our hair done and I was happy with the way mine came out. I loved nicki's it was so cute on her. Next we picked up my BM Jacque. My ex boyfriends wife actually did her hair. I thought it was um.. interesting. She liked it though, so it was fine with me. Then we had to pick up my dress (thats right it wasn't ready till the night before) and Kev's tux pants from my seamstress lady. She showed us how to bustle which I found madly confusing. There were like 7 or 9 ribbons which had to be hooked through corresponding loops, then tied. It was crazy. So Jacque is in the back seat covered in our dresses and I'm driving around like a crazy woman wearing a veil. We dropped off kevins pants and headed to my dads house.

We had to have the flowers delivered to my dads cuz the night before we found out the church said she couldnt drop them off till 4pm. Well we needed them by 3, so the altar pieces and everything was at my dads. I loved them when I saw them though. Then the photog called me just a little lost so I put him on track and he arrived shortly after. As soon as he came everyone else started showing up. My sisters, nieces, steph and my cousin and flower girls. It was great.

We started getting ready and were way ahead of schedule. I was killin time tryin to put on my make up cuz I wanted to wait for my SIL who used to do make up. So she finally arrived and we got started. It took her FOREVER though cuz she wasn't expecting to do it and of course i lacked the tools she needed.

While she was doing my make up, my sisters were dropping cookies off to the reception site. They called with bad news. The park where we were gonna do photos was packed. There were weddings waiting thier turn to have thier pics done. So I called Kevin and told him when his limo comes just meet us there at my dad's. The backyard would have to suffice. Luckily it's a pretty nice yard.

It took so long to do the make up our limo arrived before she was done. At that point I got nervous cuz I didn't wanna be rushed. Amazingly I look calm in the pics of me getting dressed. I was in such a hurry I forgot to pee before putting the dress on. That was not fun. These (most of them) are the pro pics BTW. So here's me gettin dressed.

Coming down the stairs everyone was down there looking at me. I remember commenting on how I felt like I was going to the prom again.

I can't believe I forgot to mention how beautiful my FG was. I almost cried! Isn't she amazing?

Sorry I'm keeping the posts so short but I wanna include many pics and don't wanna lose my train of thought : )
We headed outside to start photos and wait for the boys to arrive. My photographer is very untraditional and did not want us standing in a normal group all straight and stuff he kept saying (in his french accent) "give em curves, give me attitude" Hence all the hand on hip action. After a few photos my sisters came back and were crying and made me cry. Then they went off to get dressed.

Then the boys arrived! Time for more pics. They were kinda milling around while us girls were finishing up and i didn't wanna look at kev cuz I knew I'd probably cry. Then we he came and we started doing ones of the 2 of us I told him not to talk or look at me cuz I knew he was teary and I just wanted to finish with the pics. I know it sounds mean but I was feeling better after a few and I could look at him without crying. I just got really happy.

The boys left to go to the church and we did a few more pics. Some of me alone and a few more of the girls. Then we were off to the church. I was a little nervous, someone opened a bottle of champagne in the limo and we drank a glass and then we had arrived. The church was just a few minutes away from my Dad's house. When we got there we waited in a room off to the side in the back. I had to use the bathroom cuz I forgot to go before getting dressed and that was a huge deal, 3 people had to help me. Then it was go time!

Ok this was crazy. At the rehearsal he told us everyone was gonna touch us and he would do "the blessing". So we were expecting this huddle. But then, he busts out SINGING! We had no clue he was gonna do this, we all just started cracking up (well trying to suppress it though)

Now I'm finally gonna finish my story.
Our plan was to do the pics before the ceremony so we could enjoy our cocktail hour. Well taking the pics outside of the everson totally took longer than we planned so by the time I got bustled and my veil out cocktail hour was over. It was immediately time to group everyone back up and make our big entrance. It was just the BP introduced and we walked down the spiral stairs.

After our dance we led everyone upstairs for dinner. The Bm and both MOH's made toasts. All very short and sweet.

One of the GM's favorite songs is holy diver and it's a joke with all the guys so they played it and the dj made them do this. LMFAO it was funny.

During the father/daughter dance the dj made everyone circle around us. It was wierd, I didn't like that. We got my brother and his wife and my sis and her husband to join us after a few minutes.

So most of the rest of the pics are just everyone dancing and then I had him take one final one at the end of the night with the few of us that were left. There was some more outside but they missed it.

Well, this is the end. I was by far the best day of my life (our lives) ever. EVerything worked out perfectly and some of our guests paid me the biggest compliment ever of saying that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. The whole day was amazing and just surreal and I wanna do it over and over again.

The remaining people got in one limo to go home or out and let me and Kevin have the other one to ourselves. We got in and opened a bottle of champagne and talked about the day on our way to the hotel. It was so perfect. At the hotel we ate a piece of our cake and took turns opening and reading our cards. It was the best day ever.
