The perfect ring, might not arrive?

Ok, so we finally find the perfect ring to go with my engagement ring. The problem is the lady said they would have to custom make it in my size which will take about 6 weeks. She said that it would be really close to the day of the wedding when it comes in.

So should i order the ring and change it? or should I keep looking? What would I do if it didn't come in? The lady said she could give me a stock ring, but it would not fit??

If it were me, I would order the custom one and have a "prop" ring to use as a backup during the ceremony, if it comes down to that. The ring you will wear all the time should be perfect.

I agree with Melissa, order your perfect ring and get a cheap makeshift ring for the ceremony in case it doesn't come in.

The one I need to look okay with my ering looks A LOT like that one..I have seen one very similar in a few places!

why couldn't you order a stock ring and then take to another jeweler and have it cut down to fit?

Ok, So I talked to the lady over at Frank Meyers and she said that the vendor said that they would try to rush it, but that there was no gurantee that it would come in on time. She said that it looks "promising" with no gurantee. We went last night to some local places and didn't find anything that would work with my ring (my ring has a small nudge on both sides) so we called her back and asked her to order it in my size. I guess she didn't ask what sizes they size to, because she said she would have to call us back tomorrow (today) after she speaks with the vendor to make sure we can get it in my size.

The reason I can't just buy the stock ring and have it sized is because the ring cannot be sized to a 10 (which I would prefer an 11) because of the way the diamonds are set in the ring. This actually happened with my engagement ring, where the stones shifted during sizing and the diamonds starting falling out, so I had to go back and thankfully I got the Warranty Program and they had to remake my ring customly, and it took a good 6 weeks.

Hopefully it will come in, in time. If not I am not sure what I am going to do, maybe I will have him present my engagement ring as the "ring" during the ceremony.

i would do the same thing, I would custom order the ring you wanted so that you have that and then use a "fake" ring for the ceremony if it does not come in. just stress the importance and hope that it comes in. That ring is gorgeous!
