We may have talked about this before, but ...
How traditional were/are your vows? Did you use the old "honor and obey"?
DH and I took the "obey" part out of our vows. Many weddings I have seen have taken this part out and used more like "honor and cherish". I don't think many people use "obey" anymore; did you?

We won't be saying obey, either. Though, I don't know exactly what we WILL say.
It'll be non-traditional...I imagine we'll write our own vows.
We won't be saying the traditional vows. I'm not too sure what we will be saying yet, but we'll probably get ideas from a lot of places and make them just right for us. The traditional vows were created in a time when women did have to "obey" men and I am so not about that! ;)

We are writing our own vows. I may not use the traditional wording. My FH and I will be jazzing it up. I have less then 3 weeks before the wedding and I haven't even started writing them.

Kevin and I aren't going overly traditional. For that matter we're only throwing in so many things. There won't be any "honour and obey" mentioned.
We're goign to say a paragraph to one another and then go into our vows. That way we can still have what we want said but the traditional "repeat after me..." also done. Those vows just feel wedding-ish to me.

We're doing semi-traditional vows. The word obey is not listed in our vows. Instead of using honor or obey we're using words like repect, faithfulness, and chreish.
