To me, the song is about finding someone who you can totally be yourself with, despite differences. FH and I are so different from each other in some ways. He's a conservative christian republican...and I'm a liberal buddhist-leaning democrat. But we balance each other out perfectly - and we respect each other's differences and learn from each other everyday.

So I thought this song fit us. I LOVE it.

personally for the aisle i thnk the music itself would be beautiful and more fitting but you were looking for different and personal and i think that the words are so quite and smooth that this just might work.. i loove this song and its soo funny, i never thought of it as a wedding song till now. its the perfect aisle song.

I just found an instrumental clip of the song online. Basically, it's the first bar of music over and over. Meh.

While pretty, it totally loses its flavor and meaning with just the music. So I'll be keeping the lyrics. Besides, they're really the reason I love the song for us.


Plus, I totally heart Adam Duritz's voice. :grinhappy:
