Will I ever get these invites out???

So it's now over the middle of July and I wanted my invites out BEFORE the 15th. Apparently that didn't happen.
So I had mentioned earlier that my bp was all taking little parts in helping me get stuff done which was wonderful!
However, one of my bm said she had no problem getting my response cards done, or at least at the time she had no problem doing it.
Everyone who took a piece to help with was done over a week ago. So she had initally told me that last Thursday she would drop them off. No show. Then on the day of my jack and jill she didn't bring them. My shower on Sunday I got a text message saying that she couldn't get out of bed and wouldn't be at the shower. I was pretty perturbed about that as well. So finally Sunday night I text her and tell her that I need to send these suckers out on Monday at the latest. She says she doesn't have them done but she will. I also then mentioned that she needs to look at what the document says that I e-mailed her (the writing for the cards) because it may still have Kevin's mother's name on it due to her taking them to England and family over there was able to give them back to her to give to us. I mentioned this about 3 or 4 tiems and she said no problem. Anyways last night (TUESDAY!!!) she drops them off after 10 pm. I looked at them and the fond is a MESS I have no idea what she used. There so cruced they might as well be sidways, and Kevin's mother's name is STILL on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't use ANY of them. Not a single one!!!
Now I'm out $50 because I owe her for buying the cards. Just a mess, an absolute mess!
I looked at the I tossed them all ont he couch and cried. Now I'm backed up another couple of days.
Thankfully my Mom's goign to be home and will start to print them out for me on out computer.
Just so upsetting!!! I think making smoke signals will be easier and faster then getting the invites out!

That is sooo frusturating. But you know the saying that sadly "If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself" It stinks that your BP is not helping, they should buck up and help you out. Hopefully you can get them out soon and remember your date to send them out can be flexible don't stress yourself out to much!

It is soo frusterating and I understand this! Trust me hun, I do!
But the good thing is that you technically still have 2 weeks to finish them and get them out. 6 weeks prior is proper etiquette. I'm sorry about being out 50.00 but maybe you should just tell her that your not going to pay for something that you aren't satisfied with.

I'd be pretty upset with my BM for messing up stuff. GAH! You still have some time. I'd offer to help, but I don't think we're even in driving distance. :winktongue:

Well last night in the pouring rain and driving forever to find a mail box (seeing that they have all disapeared) I was able to get my invites outta here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Mom sat at hoem all day while I was at work and printed off new response cards for me and new labels.
The best however wa the call I recieved from my BM who claims that this whole issue is my fault. Yes MY FAULT!!!!!!!! She claims that this is what I sent her. Really I sent her this??? Maybe I sent the wording, but the font is a mess, and it's all over the bloody place, I didn't send her that!
Whatever, they're out. And I could have been really mean and sent her one of her responmse cards in her invite but I decided to be nice. There done though, and they're out. So now it's the waiting game!!!

I'm so sorry it ended up that way. Perhaps you should ask her to pay for the cards herself since SHE messed them up. You gave her clear instructions.
I'm glad it's all going to work out though :)
