Ring Shopping Today

I am so excited, I am finally going ring shopping today. My FH bought my engagement ring that is beautiful. However, it doesn't have a matching wedding band to go with it. It was made to sit by itself. Wish me luck. I have to go shopping for his ring, so he told me to see if I find a band to go with it. I would keep you guys posted. I also have my bridal shower today in NY. I figure what better place to look for our rings. I love New York.

When did you guys go ring shopping? I am hopping I have enough time to also get my husband ring engraved. I have 29 days until the wedding, I hope I am not pushing it.

Your best bet is probably going to be a smaller, locally/family owned jeweler. What they can do is create a "tracer band" that is designed specifically to fit around your e-ring. It might be a bit more expensive than a "regular" wedding band, but it will be gorgeous, and will enhance the ring you already have.

When we were shopping for rings, we went EVERYWHERE... every mall store, Jared's, and then a handful of locally owned shops. The service and quality (and pricing!) at these local shops blew away everything else. And we were able to get EXACTLY what we want, and not something 'cookie cutter' that you're going to see on everyone else's hand.

His e-ring I actually found online (I've never seen it ANYWHERE in person; our jeweler couldn't even find it from any of their suppliers); it's a hand made Celtic band from Apples of Gold. I'm very pleased with their service and quality as well (they have a HUGE selection of bands in a variety of metals).

I didn't have to go ring shopping....FH had actually picked his out on his own while he was looking for my e-ring. He also did price comparisons online so I could get the most affordable one!

I found the most perfect rings. My FH ring is simple but nice. It was the last ring in stock, I love it. I also found my wedding band and it goes perfect with my E ring. Since my FH wasn't shopping with me, I will have the ring shipped to my local store and we will try it on then. It only took me about an hour and 3 stores later to find the perfect pair. Pictures will come later. I will start a new Thread called Rings. Also, I need to hurry and find a place that can engrave it for me. I still don't know what I will be putting on it but I hope it comes to me.

Thats awesome!!! FH designed my e-ring, and he got it hand engraved on the sides and around the outside of the band...the jeweler that he bought it from did all the engraving..maybe you can check with the jeweler to see if they can do it in time?? AWESOME on finding the perfect wedding band to match your ring!!! We have to have mine custom made to fit against my ring ...and Im only dreading the time that they will have to have my e-ring to make sure it matches :( :( :(
