So I'm doing my own make up for my wedding day. The only thing I really need help with is eye make up. I use mineral make up daily and I love it too much to use anything else.
For my eyes I plan to use eyeshadow and liner and am considering fake lashes IF I can figure them out before the day of. Has anyone ever used them? What was your experience? What brand/type did you buy? Do you prefer the whole lash or just the individual ones? Was there a type of glue that held up better than others? What stores carry fake lashes at a fair price?
Ok, that's the end of my questioning! Thanks in advance!

i was a bm and used them. I used to CVS ones and they never came off. they were like 6.99 for the lashes and glue. i did them myself and i never did them before. Also- in the basket in the womens bathroom the bride put the glue on in case anyone needed a touchup. they are quite easy :) Also you may be able to find a place there that does semi permenant. My mom just got them done yesterday- 20 bucks, they stay for 1 month :) that way you can get used to them before the big day
the two pics i posted i was wearing them for already 6 hours in one and 9 hours in the other!! and i did them myself.. i was proud :)

my sister wore just the ones from walmart at her wedding and they kept ending up on her face and I would have to tell her. Or they would be like crooked and you could tell they were fake.
i had my makeup done by a MAC artist and she used a full set on me and i loved the way they looked. if applied properly you shouldn't know it was even on

I am also using "Sewn" in lashes. I don't know if they have a real name for them but I also have been calling them sewn lashes. They cost about $20 to put them on but they last for about a week. I am going to have them done 2 days before the wedding, so I can get use to them. I will only add a little bit of mascara to them. I don't have lashes so I need something. :D

I actually posted this in another area, so if you see this as a duplicate, I'm sorry - I missed this chat when I wrote it.
I have tried about 5 drugstore brands of mascara and I am not over the top thrilled with any of them.
Which brand of mascara makes your lashes the longest? I'm not even going to try the fake lashes, as I am keeping the stress as low key as possible that day.
Ideas appreciated. Here are some of the brands I have gotten from the other thread that I plan to try, in case anyone else is interested.

If you are using eyeshadow along with a liner it is advisable that you don't go for fake eye lashesh at the same time so that you don't end up looking overmade and trying hard to impress.Keep it simple yet stylish. And yes you have a good face and honestly speaking that won't support fake eyelashes.

I too did my own make-up and I also only use mineral make-up (bare escentuals). I've done fake eyelashes before and had bought some for the big day but when I was getting ready they just were taking to my eyelids right so I gave up and went without. I was so frustrated and ready for the wedding to just start already that I didn't even care what I looked like at that point. I never even touched up my make-up during the rest of the day because I didn't care anymore....weddings can be stressful - especially the inlaws, even when you love them to death.

I will probably use them, just for a bit of added drama. I like the way they look, especially with neutral, not overly-done makeup colors... it just emphasizes the eyes.
Everything I've read says just get the cheap drugstore kind, and practice with them a bit before the wedding day. Also, if you cut them into a few smaller segments, you can get them specifically where you want to a bit more easily.
As for eye makeup, I will probably go with something like this:

I'm having my hair stylist do my makeup/hair for the wedding day. She will use fake lashes.
She told me just she'll go to any beauty supply store (like Sally's) and get some...that they're all pretty much the same there. (I can't speak for walmart brands, etc.)
She's clipping mine and just putting them on the outside corners so it thickens the lashes there and opens up the eye.

At the salon i go to they offer the lashes. They say the put them on the tips on our own lashes and they last lke 2 months. And the 1st time its like $200!!! But then when you just get them "filled" or whatever its like $30. I wish i could do them cause they look sooooooooo pretty even without mascara but no way would i ever spend $200!!!

I am going to a salon that specializes in eyelash extensions. I am Korean so I have really short eyelashes. Those extensions will last about a month so I don't have to worry about that during the wedding and the honeymoon. I am also getting my makeup done because I want to make sure it looks good in the pictures. Also getting the hair done.
