First Christmas

Even though we have been together for 6 years (7 Christmases I think) this year was our first Christmas as husband and wife ;) He got me a nice card that read "To My Sweet Wife ... All I want for Christmas is the beautiful woman holding this card" Then he wrote in "I love you baby and I am so happy to be able to call you my wife this Christmas. I look forward to many more holidays with you"

I guess it wasn't Shakespeare or anything but it made me cry a little ;) I love my honey :D My card to him was similar which was sort of funny too.

Anyone else share their first married Christmas this year?

We shared our First Married Christmas this year as well! We were at his parents and I was opening a gift when it dawned on me that it was the first Christmas that we all share the SAME last name! His parents thought it was cute that I had said that! My hubby put on all the tags: to my Wife! Love your Husband. I thought it was cute that he would say it every time!! It was a great first Christmas as husband and wife!! :)

That is nice Canadian'Wife' ... My DH put that on the tags of my gifts too ;)

I also loved seeing our names together as Mr & Mrs on the Christmas cards too. I love being Mrs. EECIV :D

At first when I would see them I would think that the stupid post office had screwed up again and put his parents mail in our box....lmao...then I would remember. It was great getting cards addressed to Mr & Mrs!!

Its mine!!!!!!!!! It was actually his pastor came over Christmas night and married us, the 26th we got all the legalities taken care of.....I was sooo happy.........He gave me the best present EVER!! His love and enternal committment!! This was my first Christmas As his Wife ans He as my beloved husband..There's nothing else i n this world that could compare or come close to that moment when i said "I DO" and to hear him say the same thing..I waited all my life and that was a moment to be unforgotten and charished for the rest of my life...Happy New Year ladies!!!:cheers:

It was funny for me too ;) Especially when we got a card from DH's dad ... they have the same name, my honey is the 4th.

We had one friend of ours that addressed our card with my old name and I was a little upset ... he was at the reception so he knows we got married! But, he called the other day to apologize, he said he just hadn't updated the card list ... silly men ;)

Aww you guys, that's so sweet!

I kept sitting here this entire Christmas going...next Christmas, we'll be married...next Christmas, we'll be married. His family has a rule that the newest person in the family opens there gifts first...I keep trying to wiggle my way out of it saying that I'm not part of the family yet...it doesn't work though. I think I'm stuck until his neice gets old enough to open presents with the adults...lol
