I just received an RSVP I didn't expect. A really good friends' parent's are not coming to the wedding. They have responded they will not be attending. I understand that some people wont' be able to attend... right now 15% of our guest list is not coming... it's a Friday and it's hard for people to get off work early and stuff. I just wish they could have made it, I grew up with them... and even though their daughter and I aren't on the best of terms' these days, I really wanted them there.

I wouldn't worry about so many 'no' replies just yet, you will get those first anyway.

As for your friend's parents; if you are close and really wanted to see them, maybe send them a letter telling them you are sorry they couldn't make it and hope all is well with them and how you miss them.

OHHHH NOOOOOo that stinks......

When I sent out my Save the Dates one of my good friends parents said they would make it...but then my friend called last week and her parents got into a huge fight about it...you see it is in Hawaii and her dad HATES to fly! So now they are not coming!

Bummer..but less people you have to pay for:)

Oh that's such a bummer. Perhaps you could host a dinner for them at your place when you get back from the honeymoon so they could celebrate with you, or invite them to one of the pre-wedding events?

Yeah, I understand too. There were a lot of people who we thought would be there, they never RSVPed but we expected them anyway. Then on the day, we were too busy to notice that they weren't even there! Lol. Its kinda weird but nothing to stress over.
