A Lucky 7 Day

So I have some time right now on our honeymoon in Minnesota, so I'm going to start my journals.

I will start off on the night before:

After the rehearsal at 6:30 and a dinner following, Jamie (BM), Nathan (brother and GM), and I went to Wal-Mart to pick up some more ribbon to finish the bubbles. When we got home it was probably about 10 or 10:30. Then I realized that Chris was going to wash our car because we were using it as our get away car. So after we ran out of ribbon again we stopped, and I took my car to Chris who lived about 10 min. away with his parents. He was going to wash it before the wedding so I took his truck back home to my parent's house. I got home about 12am on July 7. Yup, craziness. I didn't get to bed until about 1 or so and didn't get to sleep until probably 2 or after.

I had to be at the hair place, (Chris' mom's shop) at 8am to start my hair. The other girls came a little later. I got done about 9:15 I think. My sister and I were getting our makeup done at the Clinique counter at the mall, they opened at 10am. So I went out there at 10, my sister came about 10:30, and we were both done before 11.

This was good because we had to make a mad dash to the church, pics were supposed to start at 11:30. I had to use Rescue Tape to keep my strapless dress up! LOL. That hurt to get off, but that's a different story.

I was running a little behind then, getting all ready, so I didn't even get to meet Chris in the lounge until 11:30. Then pics started.

Okay, that is enough for now, it is hard to type in fake nails! LOL, and I am on my honeymoon right now. I might post more tomorrow!

The ceremony started at 2:07pm. The FG, my cousin, is only 5 and she acted like she knew exactly what to do! It was said that she watched my every move. She is so cute! I'm not good at going into detail, but Chris said he messed up twice, once during vows, and I don't know when the other time was. After lighting the unity candle, I guess I was supposed to go to the outside, closest to the guests when we were handing our moms a rose.

I was actually less nervous before the ceremony started and during it, than I was before I got to the church! Lol. That's kinda weird. I didn't cry at all, I thought Chris was going to but he didn't.

We did the receiving line with our parents, there wasn't as many people there as we thought there would be, but it was still a good turn out. My other 2 cousins were at the guest book, and they also handed out bubbles. Soon after we were done with the receiving line, we were getting ready to exit through the doors. My aunt, who had been obnoxious the entire week she was back and staying with us, basically stood on my train so I couldn't walk out the doors, and Chris had my hand. All she wanted to do was blow bubbles right in my face!

Once I yelled at her, she moved and we walked down an amazing bubbly path to our car that we had pulled up front. Someone had put "Just Married" decals on the back window and wrote our names and date on the window also, with window chalk. I can't wait to see the pics of us walking through the bubbles. Then my aunt followed us right out to the car just to continue blowing bubbles all over me! I closed the door, and I thought she wanted to say something to me so I rolled down the window and she started it again!

Needless to say I am glad she's gone now and that we are away from people for a few more days!

Thank you! I liked the simplicity of the 3 roses. Everyone has bigger bouquets, or a smaller version of their bouquet,which is fine they are still beautiful! But I liked this because it was different. We didn't have pew bows or anything like that, the only decorations in the church were 2 bouquets of yellow roses by the alter. I think that was pretty much it. I liked how simple it was, not too over done, and everyone said it was a beautiful ceremony!

I'm not trying to brag or anything at all, but just saying that the most simple weddings could be more beautiful!

Hehe thanks! Yeah my dress was a size 2. And trust me, I am far from anorexic!

Oh, and while I'm posting this one, I was going to say something about the reception decorations.

Earlier last year, my mom bought a bunch of red ribbon that was on sale at Jo-Ann Fabric. We bought some of those red crystal things, red votive holders, and tealight candles. We never really sat down to figure out centerpieces or anything, we just let someone that my mom works with and our neighbor play around with them Saturday morning. That was one less thing we had to worry about and it turned out fantasic!

Its just one of those things where its not going to matter 1 week from then, or even a year from then. So why spend so much time worrying "oh this has to be this way, and this that way". I didn't even realize until Sunday morning that we forgot to bring the napkins that we had ordered with our names and dates! But now it doesn't matter, we just have a bunch of napkins to use! Haha!

Haha, our photographer signed the copyright over to us so we can print whatever we want, whatever sizes, edit them whenever we want. But he does let us choose 200 that we want and he'll make prints of those. So that is pretty nice of him. I'm gonna try to get more up today! Lol. There are so many.

I love the pictures. Sorry I have been busy and not alot of time to look around. I love you dress, the church was beautiful just the way it is, you were right it didn't need anything more done to it.
