DH and I are considering going to DragonCon (sci fi converntion) this year. We don't like all things sci-fi, but we like Star Trek and the Stargate series.
There are going to be some actors from the shows we like there so that is why we are wanting to go. I was joking with DH saying we will officially be dorks if we go :bblol:
Anyone ever been?

LOL my dorky DH would join you if he could, I am sure.
I am not a sports widow but I am a space channel widow! The guy wouldn't change the channel if I didn't make him :)

LOL Oh yeah DH love the Science and Nasa channels too  Lucky for me the only sport he is into is F1 racing.
The sci-fi stuff we enjoy together so this would be cool I guess. But the tickets are like $80 each plus you have to pay to get pictures and/or autographs with the stars :bbconfused:
It is not until September I think, but you get a better deal if you order tickets by the end of this month. So we are trying to figure out if it is worth going.

My husband and I LOVE SCI-FI stuff. We keep meaning to go to Dragoncon, but something always goes wrong. They have 1 day, 2 day, 3 day or 4 day passes. We like the following showes, I know there are more just can't think of them:
Star Trek
Star Wars
Star Gate SG-1
Star Gate Atlantis I am so thrilled that Amanda Tappin's Charachter is going to this series.
Eureka
Charmed before it was cancelled
The Dresden Files

Does that have comic books? My FH has been to a few comic book conventions, I will see if he has been to this one.

I think I saw something about a comic book convention being held at the same time. I mentioned it to my husband as he has several duplicate comic books and wants to get rid of them.

We like ... Star Trek (mostly TNG and on, but don't really care for Enterprise), Stargate SG-1 (so sad to see the series over, looking forward to the movies) and Atlantis (I am also happy to see "Sam" will be in Atlantis next season) and Eureka (new season starts July 10th) Like you I am sure there are a few more I that I forget.
We like Mythbusters too, I didn't really think that was sci-fi, but I hear a couple of the people from that show will be at this year's DragonCon.

Mythbusters so counts as Sci-Fi in my book, the last episode we watched was really cool. Poor Grant will never be over seasickness and Adam was too funny around thoses bees. Enterprise was ok, I never got into the one that was between TNG and Enterprise. The captain was Kate Janeway or something like that, I also never got into deepspace9. My husband did like both of thoses. I am excited that the new season of Eureka starts tomorrow. We also have been watching Kyle XY and that has been good, I think it is on the family channel on Mondays and Fridays. I really feel like I am leaving out a bunch of shows, but I just can't think of them.

I like sci-fi.. But i'm really picky. To be honest, i like more of the anime/sci-fi stuff.. =D And don't worry about being a dork... I've been to SO many anime conventions.. And cosplayed. XD
