I really want the colors brown and teal for the wedding. I'm thinking brown bridesmaid dresses and teal accents.
The only problem is, what colors and types of flowers should I incorporate? I don't exactly want blue flowers (and they're hard to find), but I'm not sure that I want to add pink and make the colors too much like baby colors. Any suggestions?
Also, anyone think brown for bridesmaid dresses is a bad idea for a garden wedding? Think they'll blend into the background too much?

I would use shades of white ivory and/or beige flowers (roses, carnations, hydrangeas, calla lilies, etc) and then brown and teal ribbon accents.
ETA - I think brown (maybe mocha, latte or cinnamon) dresses with maybe a teal sash would be really nice :)
Good luck!
Oh yes, I love the idea of shades of white/ivory flowers. They would definitely be easy to find and it's very classic. You just can't go wrong with white flowers. I saw an episode of Whose Wedding is it Anyways where the florist had tall vases filled with water. There were small blue-ish green clear decorative stones on the bottom and then the vases were filled with white flowers. It was really beautiful and clean looking.
I don't think that brown dresses would be bad for a garden wedding because of all of the greenery.

I agree 100%. Whites, ivories and creams would be gorgeous, and would keep with the fresh, modern look of brown and teal.
