OK mine is not over yet, as of 11:30 tonight me and my FH will be back together for a full year. This was when I called him last year and told him how I still felt ( hoping he felt the same , in a way I knew he did ). So tonight at 11:30 I have a nice card to give him, I am not good at keeping gifts to give later. He said he has something little he is working on, not much just somehting little from him. I will fill you in when i get it.

But as for what I got this morning........

all this stuff was from Nicholas....

a bathrobe
nice warm pj's that i opend last ngiht
a wooden clock with a picture of a unicorn on it
my stocking full of hair things and smelly stuff and chocolates
a T-shirt from Big Dogs that reads on the back " If you dont like my attitude you can e-mail me at BYTEME.COM"
another t-shirt that reads " I didn't ask to be a prinsess but if the tiara fits"
a fleece with grumpy bear on it
some nice smellign candles
Some of this was from my kids too.

my FMiL got me a couple of unicorn crystals with the light up bases and a couple fo mountain dew t-shirts

his nanny got him and i matching Dale Jr fleeces

my mom made us a candle, it is in an old fashioned pie plate with a top to it, it is almond smelling and she put our names on it and some flowers, my mom never thinks she does much but i always love what she makes for me

my sister got us the movie Robots, we have it on DVD now the kids have it for their room

my friend from Australia got us all t-shirts mine reads" Actually, yes the world does revovle around me"

Oh and in my stocking I had a little tender heart care bear. There is a story behind this one though. When I was a child tender heart is the care bear i had. Once they starting bringing them back i never saw one any where. Nicholas got me a HUGE one and i got it when he came here for Valentines day this year. So when he saw this little one he had to get it for me.

Hope you all had a god one. My kids got spoiled as usual. They will be going to their dads on Wed. to get gifts Santa left there for them along with gifts from nanny and daddy and his new GF.

I forgot to mention I got the book I was wanting, Undomestic Goddess, Nicholas searched 4 different stores to get it for me.

For us being together for 1 year at night after the kids were in bed I gave him the card I got for him and he told me what he has in his hand was corny but it is just him being him. He gave me his heart again. Let me explain.

About 2 years ago when we were splitting up because of the distance thing not working for me he sent me a crystal heart on a very nice chain. The heart is very big so it wasn't somethign I would wear as a necklace but because I loved him so much and I knew I always would I hung it in my car so he was always with me. It has stayed there for the last 2 years. It needed to be cleaned to make it shiny again. It is big enough that when the sun hits it there are little rainbows all through my car.

He took it out of my car and cleaned it up for me and told me that he gave me his heart a long time ago. It has been an amazing year being here with me and the kids. He feels like he is going ot wake up and it is all going to be just a dream. He told me he is giving me his heart again , in person this time, and he told me how much he loved me and how he cant wait for all the Christmas' we are going to have together in the future. So to some it may have seemed corny or not special but to me it was. He loves me and he wants to show me just how much but some times there is just no one way to show a person. I love him dearly. And I can't wait to marry him.

Rainbow your 'heart' story was nice, it brought a little tear to my eye.

I like the bird bath Ms Hayz ... I have developed a liking to birds from my late MIL; (I miss her, this is our 2nd Christmas without her) when DH and I finish remodeling our house (one day soon I hope) I want to get some feeders and a bird bath too. The year she passed I got her a realistic looking Chickadee Christmas ornament ... when she passed, I wanted it for our tree but now we can't find it or another like it anywhere. So I am gonna get a Chickadee tattooed on my arm. (as part of a sleeve idea involving the 4 seasons)

Oh, and by the way Canadianbride, I love cheese too ;)

We are having dinner with DH's family here at our place tonight ... his aunt called and asked what kind/flavor of lotion I liked, so I am sure she has gotten me some bath/body stuff.

I guess that is all for now ladies ... I gotta run to the store to get some last minute things for dinner tonight and get my turkey in the oven.

Happy Holidays!

hehe, looks like you still got a bunch of pj's and such ;) My mom does stuff like that alot, but she wasn't too bad this year since she just got me a gift card. Last year she asked me to make a list of things we might want so I did, but she didn't get anything from the list

This kind of thing happens with wedding gifts too ... we didn't do a registry, and we told people we didn't want gifts. There were a few that insisted so we told them a couple of things we would use and they got something totally different.

Back to Christmas ... my niece got so spoiled! Funny thing, she got a toy vacuum cleaner and she was scared of it. I was making jokes that she didn't want to be domesticated ;)

Best wishes,

My FMiL is in direct relation to Santa Claus...every Christmas Eve, her living room becomes a haven for a TON of wrapped gifts. This year, my section of the gifts included a beautiful pitcher and matching bread pan, a jello mold, a new mini-steamer, a flat-wisk, a strainer ladle, and a grilled cheese flipper. Jason's grandmother gave us some antique japanese plates and a japanese screen for our japanese themed dining room (which is getting better and better as we go along). My future brother and sister-in-law gave us a gift card to the grocery store to go with all the cookbooks Jason's mom gave us. My mother gave me a hippo-tissue box holder that goes PERFECTLY in our hippo bathroom and another book for me to get my head lost in. It's called Eye of the Storm and it's the memoirs of a civil war soldier. It should be interesting as soon as I get a chance to read it. My sister got me a TON of bath and body works stuff.

Most importantly, Jason got me a crystal with dolphin and a lighthouse carved into it (I originally wanted to get married out by a lighthouse where we spread my father's ashes years ago). It has a stand that spins around and shines light through it that changes colors. It's really beautiful.

For my birthday, which was the same day...I got silicone-ware (YAY!) and a new set of silverware from my future in laws, a beautiful watch (that I might wear at the wedding) and a light up birthday gift box (that I insisted was going to go under the tree EVERY year so my birthday wouldn't be forgotten) from my mother, and the barbell for my tongue I wanted for the wedding from my sister (hey, it's there, I might as well wear something really beautiful in it for the wedding). The balls on the barbell are clear with gold sparkles in them; not that anyone's really going to see...but I liked it.

Jason got me a beautiful bracelet and matching earrings for my birthday...he has GREAT taste!

Well, that was it for me... :)

I LOVE those candles that make it smell like your baking something. I have these absolutely EXQUISITE Apple Pie candles (that were bought to support battered women shelters--which makes it even better) and when I light them, it smells like I'm making apple pie! Yum!

Yeah, I use to have an apple pie one and my honey said it was too strong. So I threw it out. He likes these vanilla ones I have and the sugar cookie one though, so that is cool.
