Beach wedding attire for HIM?

YAY! I've finally (I think) got FH talked into wearing a suit for the wedding. Our plans/theme has gotten a LITTLE bit more formal (as has my taste in gowns) since we began the planning.

Initially we were thinking nice sand colored linen trousers and a blue short sleeved shirt for him.... but now I've finally got him convinced to wear a suit..... Still keeping with the same color theme (a sand or tan colored suit with either a light blue or a white shirt, no tie), but just a bit more dressy/tailored....

Did any of your grooms wear such a combo? And if so, can you post up pics for me so I can show him?

I am also doing a beach wedding. We are getting married in Bahamas on the beach. It would be to hot for my FH to wear a full suit so we decieded to get him a nice linen outfit. He is happy with the suit, he gets to wear no tie and he can wear the suit again in the future. He will be wearing those flip flops as well. Sorry our room looks so messy in the picture.

First let me start by saying I am a bride on a budget. My wedding is costing a total of $6,500 for 40 guest in the Bahamas, this price includes our 14 day honeymoon to Fort Lauderdale, Bahamas and Vagas. My FH outfit was all bought in pieces from 4 different stores. First, I found the shirt at Marshall's (yes, Marshall) for only $25. Then I found the pants at Macy's in New Jersey on sale for $18. The suit is 50% cotton and 50% linen, they are made by Club Room (which is a Macy Brand). Then I found the matching Club Room jacket at another Macys in Virginia on sale for $60. And last but not least, I found his flip flops at believe it or not Wal-Mart. I have never bought clothes or shoes from Wal-Mart but when I seen these on sale for $7 I know they would go perfect.
So lets recap...

Shirt- $25
Pants- $18
Jacket- $60
Shoes- $7
Total cost of FH suit $110 on sale regular priced at $245. :D

That's awesome!!!!! Well I might luck out and be able to find some end of season bargains like that on men's summer suits at the end of THIS summer, since the wedding isn't till NEXT fall.

I love this outfit. We've been trying to figure out what FH can wear for our wedding, too, since we're doing the tango wedding theme and it's not formal. I think this would work for ours too! :D
