I want to get married in South Carolina but I need help in finding a GREAT location. (Getting married November 2006). I tried looking in Charleston, SC at the Charleston Place Hotel but they are booked for up to two and a half years!!! Any ideas will be nice. Churches, hotels, garden area, anything nice and classy.Anywhere in SC

Sorry, don't know SC too much, but I do know that, being one of the original thirteen, it's got to have a TON of historic houses around...trying looking into some of those. There's a historic house in our area and they do weddings in their gardens and in the house...I bet it would be really beautiful!

Also, try google...you'll come to find it quite handy! :)

The Carolina mountains would be beautiful that time of year!!!! I dont know much about SC but any place would be gorgeous up there!!! But really a log Casbin type wedding in the mountains would take your breath away!! Plus you FH would love it!!! Look on search engines and see what you can find....Go to google and search for wedding locations in SC...You would be suprised what it comes up with....Good Luck and tell us what you came up with....:goodluck:

We had problems with Charleston Photo and Video that is based there. The video we had them do for us did not have hardly any editing or transitions and was nothing like the demo they showed us or what they claim they can do on their website. Plus it took 4 months to get the video. The video was over 2 hours long with no way to skip sections (no chapters). it had the entire wedding ceremony including the camera roaming around the church and close ups of the backs of heads, entire dances at the reception without any editing, can you imagine having to watch 4 or 5 full dances in a row? and so much dead footage that it was boring and not fun to watch. When we complained it was too long and not edited as promised, they said it would cost another $1,000 to have it redone.

Please be careful who you hire, your pictures and video are to important. Getting a great deal does not make up for not getting a great video. :bbcry:
