So last night around 9:10 our time, I was talking to my friend and BM on the phone. She had just got off work and we were going to this thing called Fight Night. She wanted to drive past and see if they were still having it due to weather. When she was going to get back on the highway, she stopped at the stop sign, saw no one coming, so she started turning left. When she was half way out in the road, all of a sudden she gets hit on the right side, and I heard it on the phone!

We ended our conversation so she could call her parents and stuff. She said she got out and asked the 2 girls that were about 18 years old if they were okay. They just said "yeah" and didn't bother to ask my friend if she was okay! No one was really hurt, she has an '06 Chevy Malibu, and they had a Jeep. Their front bumper was on the ground and my friend's passenger side door needs to be completely replaced, although somehow it completely spared the mirror!

The 2 girls had called up a bunch of their friends, they came (when the cop was there!), and took a whole bunch of bags out of the Jeep...in front of the cop. The cop made a comment that "oh there must have been a party!", but she didn't even check to see what they were doing! No breath test either! It was raining and she didn't want to get wet!

BM's parents came down during all this happening, and that comment sent her dad off! Then the cop was telling her parents that she admitted that it was her fault for "running the stop sign!" She never said that, because obviously she didn't run it. But she got a ticket for that anyway! Then the girls were saying, "she flew through that stop sign!"...common sense would tell you that if she saw that, they would have attempted to avoid it which they didn't, and/or they would have had time to stop.

If she wants to fight it, she's going to court July 24, which she will! Good thing its not July 7!

Ohhh. I'm sorry to hear that.. What's improtant though is that everyone is ok!! It stinks that the cop didn't really care to investigate it further!

I know. I told her that at least no one was with her. She can't drive when its raining now because the door doesn't shut all the way at the top now. Chris' step dad is an ex-cop for the same city, so I'm gonna ask him what the cop should have done, and what she can do now that they didn't do their job.

Oh that's such a crappy situation. You know the one time I get in a wreck, the obviously very drugged out driver walked his butt home and sent his mom back to the site to take care of everything. The cop in my situation didn't do a darn thing either. If she fights it, I hope that it all gets figured out.

There are so many situations that she can bring up in court too, such as them driving too fast for conditions, maybe filing a complaint against the officer for not doing a darn thing, stuff like that. She's had 2 crappy cars before this one and she was fine...it was waiting for her new car!

Its a conspiracy..I had a crappy car and then I got a newer one and I loved it and I rearended someone and totalled it! :( Glad that she is ok. AND...Im not sure if its the same, but you know when you go to court for a speeding ticket and if the cop doesn't show up you don't get the ticket..maybe she'll get lucky and the jerk of a cop won't show up. It always sucks when the people who help protect the city are lame and don't do anything when they clearly should...UNDERAGE people having parties should have been the first clue to search and do breathalizers..geez.

Glad shes ok, and hopefully everything will work out in the end!
