I wanted to apologize for not being on as much, it is getting closer and closer to our big move and I have been SUPER busy packing as many boxes as I can! I also have an interesting/funny story.................
So we got the moving truck situation all squared away, and what a relief that is! We were looking into an auto transport so that we could tow our 2nd car down when we moved. Well our moving truck price went up *considerably* when we asked to add on an auto transporter, so we decided to go another route by just towing the truck down on a seperate weekend, before the big move! So our 2nd car is a '93 Chevy Camaro Z28, the boys call it "the faster car"! Anyway we dont own a truck (in order to tow the auto transport & other car) Our first car is a '02 Chevy Impala so we borrowed my dads truck from him in order to do the towing. We go to Uhaul to get the auto transport and they tell us my dads truck is too little to pull the auto transport with the car on top of it. So we have to scratch that idea and think of another. Finally we decided to just drive the 2 cars down to North Carolina together and then drive back in one.
Here's where it gets funny. We left Friday morning around 10 am, it is a 6 hour drive (with no stops) from our house to Advance NC (that is where FH aunt lives, she's looking after our car for a little while) Now we already expected to have to stop for bathroom breaks and a lunch break too. What we didnt expect was a truck carrying watermelons to crash! We were in West Virginia on route 77, stuck there for way longer than we needed to be! We were in complete parked traffic, I mean people were out of there cars throwing frisbee's and even grilling out! FH and I were sweating to death, the kids had to use the bathroom AGAIN! We were sitting in that traffic for 2 1/2 hours before we decided to chance it and cross the median to the other side of where traffic was running smoothly. We both got over ok and were headed back to the last exit so the boys could use the potty and we could find another way around the accident. While we were at this gas station waiting in line to go this guy walked by me and cupped my butt! I was SO shocked! I immediatly yelled.......CHAD! THIS GUY JUST GRABBED MY BUTT! My FH then asks the guy if he did it, but the guy denies it! I am SO red in the face and just completely embarrassed, everyone who was in line for the bathroom is now looking at me and I just wanted to crawl under a rock!
So we FINALLY made it to our destination around 8:30pm we left at 10am! that is 10 and a 1/2 hours! We were SO beat. We ate dinner and then went to bed, only to get up and leave for Ohio the next morning (Saturday) at 10am! Thankfully our trip home was less eventful!
