Ok girls I need your divine wisdom! =) Ive chosen my veil its a swarovski crystal edged veil. I know I want to choose the two piece 30/36 double layer veil which will be used as my blusher and an extra layer on top of my veil. But my problem is with the long veil.

Should I get the veil so that it is on my train or just at the end of it?

I am removing the long veil after the photos and ceremony and keeping the shorter veil on the rest of the time.
I want a cathedral OR a Chapel Length Veil just as a refresher:

This is a chapel length veil:

This is a cathedral length veil:

This is what my dress is based on (no ruffles):http://shellbeachsilver.com/wedding/weddingjournal/4359570_1.jpg

Here is the veil:

I think the chapel length because there is a really nice design on the back of the dress that people should be able to see. The cathedral might cover that up or take away from it. I can relate because the back of my dress is really elaborate and I chose a chapel length which frames and shows it off really nicely. It's probably best to just try on both w/ the dress though. Good luck!

Wow, your gown is gorgeous!! I'd say go with the whole cathedral length... very dramatic!!

I'd say go for the chapel length veil. Just remember the longer the veil the harder it is to manuver around even if its just for the ceremony.

I'm partial to elbow length veils...

I say go elbow or fingertip length on the veil.

The train on the dress seems to be fairly long; the chapel length veil will likely be shorter than the dress train and may not look good. A chapel length veil is normally used for dresses with no train or just a sweep.

If you want to go more formal and dramatic then definitely go with the cathedral length :)

DTA - Just re-read your post that you wanted long, so if the choices are chapel or cathedral, I say go cathedral.

i like finger tip veils. But i like the chapel best out of those 2.

I have a long train too. I got the cathedral veil because it goes all the way over the train, which looks so beautiful! I am taking it off for the reception. So, if I were you, I'd get the cathedral veil and take it off at the reception or if you don't want to take the veil off, get the short veil. I want to show off the back of my dress and the bustle at the reception and having a veil would just hide it all. It's all a matter of preference. All veils are pretty no matter what!
