Ladies,

I just watched Fashion Fanatic with Stacy London and I didn't know ONE interesting fact: Dresses fall throughout the wedding night!!!

What happens is the dress will lengthen or "droop", if you will, throughout your entire day due to you pulling it up, sweating, moving around, etc. SO...what they have adviced is actually hemming up the dress about 1 more inch above where you need it when you get it altered.

This was just a quick note since I didn't know this happened at all, and I would like to pass on this information.

Thanks! :D

Thats a really good idea! My mom is making my dress and I just discussed it with her and she was on it!

This has always been a consideration in my profession, especially if the gown is heavily beaded. The beads will actually "weigh" the gown down and cause the fabric to stretch. (NEVER store a beaded gown hanging!)
Full length gowns should always be hemmed 1-2 inches above the floor, depending on the style and fullness. Also prevents tripping going down the aisle. No one wants to be noticed at a wedding because they are sprawled on their face.
