Ergh, that's what sucks aout men! It's so much easier for them to lose fat since it doesn't get stored/ hoarded the way our bodies do!

Don't get discouraged! Use it to your advantage as something to work towards! Also, remember the faster you lose weight and the less time it takes the more likely you are to plateau- if you take it slow and steady (1lbs a week) you're staying healthy and avoiding the likihood that you'll lose 10 lbs and stop there!

Remember to set little goals too, 5-10lbs is easier to acheive the 19 lbs all at once and still feel just as rewarding! 20lbs is my ultimate weight loss goal but I've broken it down into two 10 lbs goals...let me tell you when I reached that first goal I was ECSTATIC but if 20 had been my goal I would have stepped on that scale and thought "er only 10 lbs" now I know I'm half way there!

Yeah, Alex and I are starting to lose weight together again....last time we did this I got upset because he would change his eating habits for one day and lose 10 lbs where I'd do it for 3 weeks and only lose 1/2 lb. LOL! It upsets me sometimes....but we just have to keep reminding ourselves....we have much more fat on our bodies naturally.....they don't have big things hanging off their front that get in the way. LOL!

I know just how you feel. My H2B can eat anything!!!!!!! He just never seems to put on weight. But he never worries about it and I think sometimes we all worry too much
Although I think if he had big "fat things hanging off his front" he'd never get anything done. He'd be playing with them all day.
Anyway keep up the good work. I have been reading a lot about this lately and it seems if you lose slowly you are more likely to keep it off.

P.S. And I also think that inches are more important than weight.

I agree, inches ARE more important than weight.

Some people need actually numbers to go by. For them I suggest a measuring tape rather than a scale.

Throw the scale away.

(muscle weighs more than fat, and takes up less space.
Muscle is what gives you sexy curves......so muscle tone is what we want)
