I am so boredddd i could seriously just fall over and die. I still have like 3.5 hours left here. I just saw a really skinny cat that looks just like mine running through tthe parking lot. But i couldn't get him. I hope he doesn't get hit.

I am right there with you being bored. I hate it when my job is this slow! All of my clients have checked in. I do get to go to court this afternoon. Never thought i would be excited to do that. But I am. haha

I am a probation officer. Same thing.
Just sooo bored. boss is gone, nice day out. I wanna go home, get my dogs and go kayaking or something!!!!

Yay I hear ya gals. Work here is not necdesarily slow but I just don't want to be here. The sun is shining, it's friday, my FH is working from home today, and it all makes me not want to be here.

Not to mention a few people here are driving me nuts. We have these special project teams that work some of the "bad" accounts. Instead of helping those that make mistakes they spend time complaining about them making the mistakes. There negativity is really getting under my skin today. Everyone makes mistakes we're all human...We're supposed to be a team no matter what department you work in... They make mistakes too and I never hear my girls complain when they do instead they ask them very nicely and ask questions and work with them on it. I just don't understand why everyone can't work together. Guess I need to go meet with their supervisor with my boss cause I just about had enough!

Anyhow...sorry to hijack!! I just want to get out of here today!!

I hate Fridays..I only work Tues-Friday, but I work part time all the other days, Fridays are my 8 hour days..and they drraaagggg

I'm going to school in the similary line of work as you ladies...I'm finishing up my BSW. After that I have one year for my MSW and god only knows what I will get into after that! I did an internship at and drug and alcohol rehab center and it was interesting...

My ultimate goal is to work with the aging but if not I would want to get into the Feder bureau of prisons... My freind heather who is my MOH and her husband work as case managers so I would have a good chance of getting in or atleast I hope.

oh good for you Jonelle. Its a really good field to get into! This is the first job I got after getting my bachelors. I really do like it, but just applied to be a federal court probation officer, I really want that job!!

Thanks ladies...I'm a long way off. I went two years straight after I graduated high school...Then I got pregnant with my first son, left school to work full time and be a mommy and have been out of it for 6 years and now I'm back going just part time and taking what classes I can online. I'm in no hurry just taking my time..

I think we're going to the cabin with the kids and two other couples tonight to get away for an overnight trip..I gotta call FH here a make sure!!

There is a huge unemployment rate here in Vermont as well. I always knew I HAD to go to college in order to live. It was never an option not to go to college! Its scary! But hey, I always say a job is a job no matter what you do!!!

on my mind right now...Why I'm watching bridezillas when this show does nothing but angers me....

I didn't really want to start a whole new thread so I figured this would be a good place for this: I am wondering when my FH is going to get home. He is a corrections officer at the state prison and he gets off work at 330, so when he wasn't home and neither his mom or I had heard from him by 530, I called the prison. He was still working, and he said he couldn't leave til the captain said he could leave and I was like uh-oh are you in trouble? He laughed and said no, and when I asked why he had to stay he said security reasons. Hmmmm....I don't know much about prisons but it kind of worries me. And he's going to be starving when he gets home but I don't wanna fix dinner until I know when he is going to be home. It's a weird situation. Should I be worried?

Not at all..I work in a prison and when there are people who call in sick other Correction officers need to stay until coverage is found. They're so called "mandated" to stay.

He just got home, and he had a drug bust!! That's why he had to stay over. And now he is watching lock-up on msnbc or something...I mean you'd think he would have had enough already!! I'm glad he likes his job it just makes me nervous sometimes!
