my profile picture

Okay, I've searched on here and everything pretty much talks about how to use "photobucket" or upload on the threads but I'm simply trying to upload an image to my profile and it just says "upload photo failed" or something like that. The file is small enough (9.87 KB). Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Did you try reloading? Sometimes IE or Firefox has problems loading things. especially if you are on dial up.

Yes, I've tried that. I'm on high speed internet. I've tried different photos, too, thinking maybe it was something in the photograph. ???

When you say "profile picture" do you mean your avatar; the little picture next to your name?

ETA - In the User CP you can put in a direct link to the avatar image online (your personal site or photobucket) or upload it from your computer. The picture will have to be fairly small; the maximum size is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB. So maybe the problem is the pixel size :bbconfused:

Ok. I shrunk it down to a 70x64 pixel. Still says Upload file failed. Hmmmm....

Oh well. I'll work on this later.
