I would say something about it in the initial invite, maybe add a Save The Date thing. And then send out seperate invites after the wedding as the May date gets closer.

You may even want to get a wedding website to help ppl keep up with all the details.

Awwwwww I miss Hawaii :( I used to live there. I used to have friends in Scofield (sp?). Anyways, back to the inital question lol. I would send out your regular invites and then add a save the date at a later time maybe a month or so before your cookout.
Your going to have a BEAUTIFUL wedding in Hawaii!

I would definitely send out something seperate like a Save the Date after the wedding. It probably wouldn't hurt to mention it with your invites, the STD will be another reminder once it is closer.
