I have been thinking about joining. But wanted to hear if anyone is currently on it, has been to Weight Watchers etc. I am nervous but have heard it works.. What do you think?

I was on weight watchers for about a half of a year and I did well. It really works if you stick to the plan. Personally, I think its one of the best programs out there. You have the freedom to eat anything you want as long as you "count" the points.
good luck.

I was on WW and did well. But, when I couldn't afford it anymore, I quit being so good. I think the weekly weigh in is what helped me be accountable. Good luck if you decide to try!!

My mom has lost over 20 pounds on it. If you follow the points and are faithful to it, it does work! What's even better is that the meals are easy to figure out and they even have frozen meals with the points right on there that aren't all that bad! I think they're called smart ones. It's easiest to follow the weight watchers program if you break your meals into 6 small ones and document everything you eat!! Hope this helps!!

Jon and I were on WW for a while. He lost 34 pounds and I lost 25 pounds. My friend Joined at the same time and lost a whopping 65 pounds!!! I loved this "diet" the best. It's easy and weighing in weekly really makes you think about ever bit of food you put to your lips! I strongly recommend it!

I am signing up with WW on Tues. They have a special on now, you get 4 weeks for $44. I am working out 3 days a week with a personal trainer. With joining WW I will have to keep to the diet so I get my money worth. Good luck to you and maybe we can keep each other motivated.

I did it for a while a few yrs ago. I lost about 10 lbs. then I quit going. I never went to the meetings though and maybe I would've stuck with it more if I had.

As far as weight loss programs go, Weight Watchers is pretty good. They have a high success rate and the group dynamic really provides a lot of support. The points system is a very easy way to keep track of your food throughout the day. The only problem that I have with the program is that some people don't translate the points into everyday life so when they quit the program, they've gained no nutriton knowledge to continue on a healthy path. Good luck to anybody that's going to start the program! MY FMIL has had a lot of success with it.

Good Luck, Katy! I was on Weight Watchers, and it really worked for me, I lost 10 lbs. I would like to lost 5 more, but not until after the wedding (Im afraid my dress will be too big!)lol. It really helped me to see what I was eating. Portion control was a HUGE help for me. I just didnt realize how much I was eating. Keep us updated!!!

I am not on weight watchers but I wanted to let you know that the internal medicine office I was rotating thru last month was doing it as a group. Since Jan. 25th, many of them lost over 35 lbs. Problem is they ate like birds (and it was tough because drug reps bring in really really good food everyday). But like it has been mentioned, it's all about portion control.

Good luck!
