Ok if any guys see this, pay close attention. Most ladies like this romantic stuff, and I'm trying to help a brother out with an idea..............
After dating my blind date for about a week. (Yes I said a week.) She had wound up in the hospital, for an illness (wich us al good now). So I had called into work and took the day off and drove the 1 hour to see her. On the way down I stopped at our local florist and picked up 2 carnations and a rose. I alo gave her a card with it (more on that later) Then I started to drive to the hospital, but wound up a little to early for visiting hours. What to do? Well go shopping at the mall. So after I had hit the "manly" stores and about 3 espressos later, I was on the way back to the car, when I walked by the jewler. (OHHHHH AHHHHH Shiny stuff, thoe rings look like a nicely polished bass boat) I stopped on in to look around. Then it hit me, like a woman throwing a frying pan at my head. That ring!!!!! Must have it, must sell my oul for it!!!!!!! So I did. Then it reallllllllly hit me, I'm in love and ready to propose to her.
So I finally got to the hospital to visit her and walked on in to her room. Of course she was doing her typical girly thing, talking to her friend on the phone (the same friend that sat me up on my blind date). I handed her the flowers and card. She told her friend I was there and had brought her the flowers and card. So girls being girls needed all the details. So she said a couple of carnations and a rose. Then she read the card... "A carnation cause I love you, A carnation cause I always have, and a rose cause I always will" And of course I could hear her friend say int that sweet.
But here's where it gets fun....... I told her "thats not all I brought. Take a closer look at the flowers." So she did, "no a clossssser look" Next thing I know she's screaming, and I'm on the ground, with a security gaurd on top of me. All because I had put the ring in the rose, and when she screemed in shock the gaurd thought I was hurting her.
Needless to say, I don't recall hearing a yes, cause my ears were ringing from her screaming of joy.
But the bruise I got, from being tackled was well worth the ring in the rose trick.
As for the rose, it was in full bloom, till the day we got married one month later.
And now it's 11 years later, and i still recall that day like it was five minutes ago.
