So yay I'm supposed to do my bridal portraits this Friday but the forecast says rain all week - and my location is outdoors! I need to make a decision and let my photographer/stylist know what's going on.

I can stick with Friday, and if it rains take all my pictures inside the house (but that's kind of dull with the exception of detail shots)

Or I was thinking of rescheduling to next Thursday so that my FH would be off of work and we could take pictures together (screw the bad luck of him seeing me in my dress!) although it may rain that day too (cuz this is Louisiana and it's rain season 75% of the year)

Last option, so that my FH wouldn't see me before the wedding is to take pictures once we get back from Vegas.

(I'd really rather take pictures together than by myself, but he has to work Friday no getting around it)

I would stick with your original date with this Friday.. Hopefully the rain will subside for you to get a few pics outside and then you can move it inside.

Like you said if you keep putting it off what are the chances that it won't rain agian... You said it rained 75% of the time.

Good luck and I hope you get a few of the shots that you want.

I'm a stickler for tradition and therefore voted for after the wedding..but that's just me :)

I voted for Thursday, chancing it with rain is never fun. if you do it Thursday and it rains again, at least you know you can always do it after the wedding!

Why dont you just take your pictures before your wedding in vegas? There are a ton of cool places and you dont have to get dressed twice. Plus the pictures are taken on your actual wedding day. I think thats more special anyway.

I thought about this but how would I find a photographer? No offense to my friends but they tend to chop off heads in pictures :(

I am still undecided. Today it rained but not until about 2:30 and before that it was beautiful outside. Of course I'm wondering this... If I wait a week and it keeps raining the ground will be complete slush even if it doesn't rain that particular day.

I'm going to call his grandparents (that's the location, they have a gorgeous house modeled after a plantation) and ask how wet the yard is lol. If it isn't completely soggy maybe Friday can still work...
