Hey girls I just need some advice. My BM dresses came in as most of you know, and I had to pick up my sister in laws dresses and send the dresses to them in NY. My sister in law Marna tried on the dress and it fit her perfect a little to long, but nothing serious. Well on the other hand my other sister in law tried her dress on, and its way to tight. It took the dresses 3 months to come in. Do you think the boutique can to anything?? My sister in laws sent me their measurements, and all. My sister in law had a baby back in Feb and they said she hasn't lost any weight. Is there anything I can do or the bridal boutique? Or should I just let her know to get another dress close to it??

Some boutiques do alterations so check with them. If they don't then just ask your BM's to find a tailor. If one dress is too long then that's very simple to fix. The dress that is tight may/may not be a problem - only a pro will know whether the dress is cabably of being let out or whether that BM will need a larger size. Don't stress. Most dresses won't fit 'out the box' because most are made long to start with - just think of the tall girls out there! Most dresses also have 'extra' fabric sewn in the seams so that they can be let out.

Ya I've been making sure that all the dresses that I've bought have the extra fabric to let it out. Your best bet will be to take it in and find out. I'm going to have 2 BM's with the same problem. One of them was a bride last summer that loss a gazillion pouds from stress and little by little all winter long she's been putting back on (thank goodness, she didn't look healthy anymore!) but at the same time I know how upset she's goign to be. Any my other BM hasn't bopthered to call me, or even see me since I got engaged and she says she put on weight but who knows lol.
Good luck sweety!!!! I know is something you really didn't have to want to deal with right now. But who knows maybe it'll all fall into place better then you expect.

I doubt they'll be able to let the dress out. Maybe....but BM dresses aren't really made like wedding dresses are. I don't think find something similiar would look bad at all. Just make sure she matches the color.
