If there is all ready a thread for this somewhere I apologize. I don't recall seeing one anywhere as I have skimmed through all of the threads once all ready.

What song are you and your FH doing your first dance to? Is there a reason you chose this song???

Patrick chose our song. We had heard it a couple of times and then we were talking about the wedding one day and this song came on and he was like, "This is it..." So, we went with it.

We danced our first dance to "I cross my Heart" by George Strait. We even went and took "dance lessons" and learned a routine. It was so much fun and took the weight of the world off my shoulders because before that, I couldn't dance! I still can't really but at least I can sorta fake it!! Lol

At first I was so set on "As Time Goes By" from the movie "Casablanca" but the more I think about it, the more I realize what a sad choice that is. It is a beautiful song but if you look at the context of the film, which I can't even watch the opening credit of withough bawling, it doesn't seem to fit into a happy occasion. The more I think about it, I am leaning towards, "All I Want Is You" which to me is the sexiest song that I have heard in my life. I don't know why, it just is. So now I am torn and I don't know what to do.

We are dancing to Deanna Carter- we danced anyway. It was the song we first danced to 5 years ago in the rain. Also for the father daughter dance we not mushy so we are dancing to Brad Paisley- the world.

Lacey, that is my second choice for our song. I LOVE U2 and that song is perfect. We're going to go with "Never Tear Us Apart" by INXS. It's pretty fitting, since we split up for 5 years and have been back together for 6, and no one thought we'd be together, yet here we are! It's such a powerful song.

We will be dancing to "Better Together" by Jack Johnson. We broke up briefly when we were dating. My FH used to be a bit of a commitment-phobe, but he said whenever he heard the lines from this song: "Love is the answer, at least for most of the questions in my heart, like why are we here, where do we go, and how come it's so hard" that it always reminded him of how much he loved me and didn't want to live without me. So when we got back together it became our song.

My FH and I have come up with a strategy to pick our First Dance song since we were having so much difficulty deciding on one - we're going to let the universe pick it for us :) We've narrowed down a list of our Top 10 choices - chosen by appropriateness of lyrics and tempo and the probability that they'll be heard on the radio in the future - and the first one we hear on the radio when we're out together is going to be the one we go with. It was hard to pick a song to dance to, because neither of us remember the song we danced to when we first danced. But I was browsing the internet a while back and found this song, and it could not be any more perfect for us. It describes us to a T. Also, it was never released on a cd before, so it's a song that no one has heard. I didn't want something that everyone else dances to, so that made it more perfect!
