Hi ladies...I need some help with a brainstorm here.

As most of you know we're stuck with a size 18 or 20 BM dress since one of my BM's cannot be in the wedding....

I was thinking....Do you think it is possible to break down that size of a dress into two small FG dresses?? This sizes of the two dresses would be 18 months (probably more like 12 months)..She's a tiny toddler and about a size girls 4/5 or 5/6??? I know there will be seems from it being taken apart but do any of you who may have some experience as a seamstress or sewing think I have a chance with pulling this off??

The style would be a simple A line with wide tank top like straps...If you need to see a picture of the BM dresses I can post those too!!!

I wouldn't think it would be too hard to make the FG dresses from her dress. I don't remember what her dress looked like, but there should be enough material in the skirt to be able to cut out the little girl dresses. I would be one way to get use out of the dress.

I think it is entirely possible!!!! Seamstress can just break apart the seam and make a whole new dress....

I talked to my co worker today and she said it may work but it will be tight. So, the BM dress comes in, in June. So we're going to the rag shop and get extra material just incase. If we can't match the burgondy exactly what we're going to do is match the cream sash and make one dress burgondy w/cream sash and one cream with a burgondy strap. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that this will actually work!!

Alternating the cream and burgundy sounds really pretty! I think it'll look great actually....way to go!
