Our beach wedding 44-24!!

I'm back. I dont do much on these journals except post in everyone else's but I thought I'd start one for the wedding day! All I can say was it was amazing. There were some glitches which I'll get to later but all in all it was everything I could've dreamed it would've been. We had great weather, a little windy but great temperature and slightly cloudy.

The day started early for me. I was up and showering around 6:15am and got to the ceremony suite at 7am for the make-up artist. She began with both mothers and did me last. Me and some of the bridesmaids got our hair done around 8:30 or so and I got dressed around 10 something.

We took some of the girls pictures and separate guys pictures before the ceremony and before you knew it it was time for the ceremony to start around 11:30am. I was incredibly nervous. I had to walk up some stairs and I was standing over everyone and my heart was pounding. The DJ was supposed to start my song at 1:02 seconds but he didn't and started it from the beginning and I was so upset about that at the time. I just remember not knowing where to look at because I was so nervous.

The ceremony flew by, we had a sand ceremony part and that was a nice touch. Before you knew it we were taking the pictures on the beach. The water was a bit chilly. They wanted us to be walking in it a bit for some pix/video.

Then we went inside and I relaxed in the suite during the cocktail hr and ate a bit. Mostly I jsut needed to sit down and relax for a second or two. After that we were announced into the reception and the rest of the day was a blur. We loved every second of it. The weather was great so most of the guests were talking and catching up outside on the deck and coming back in for some dancing.

A couple of my BMs snuck back to the hotel and put some rose petals and champagne in our room which was a nice surprise for us when we got back.

All in all it was wonderful and I couldn't be more happier!

nope, that was just a place down the NJ shore. we're waiting till later in the year when i start being an intern in the hospital for the honeymoon. i'll be working 80hrs/wk so i'll need it then!

44-24 is our 2 hockey #s. we both play hockey 3-4 times a week and tournaments and stuff and that's also how we met..through hockey. he's #44, i'm #24

heres a closer pic. my MOH had orchids with her callas but this is the rest of the BMs bouquet next to mine. hope that helps? i didnt use a florist...the flowers were bought online and then put together the day before...

I don't think I can ever be bored looking at pictures!! It is too bad you have to wait so long for your pro pics, though. Why is it such a long wait? I am sure they will be worth the wait once you see them though!!!

i dont know! we had 2 photographers so i imagine its a lot of work. they were there for around 9 hours. but i want them now :) (i'm such a child hehe)

yeah, we are official doctors as of this weekend and i will start as an intern in the hospital july 1 for my residency (this is why july is an awful month to get ill!)
