What is your total wedding cost? How much are you planning to spend?

How much have you already spent?
So far what has been your biggest expense?
How are you paying for your wedding? (Family, credit card, loan, etc.)

Our biggest expenses were our food, location, and flowers.
Between them all about 10,000+ was spent. This is on a small wedding with only 60 guest.

Some of the guest (family) we paid for, a few out of town guest and us stayed three nights. But I did not include that figure it the price that it listed above.

Our cemerony and reception was held there, so none of our guest (or us) needed to paid for transportation.

We did not hire a Wedding Videographer, Limo Company, Wedding Coordinator, Minister (my husbands aunt is one - she did our service for free), so we ended up saving a lot more money. We also made our own wedding favors, and programs.

In total we spend a bit over 20,000. But compared to my aunts wedding - 400+ guest and saved for 6 years - it was not nearly as expensive.

We did not have to pay for a lot of the main wedding cost. Both are families helped as much as they could. Since, my mom was my wedding planner, and her and my dad was paying most of the major cost she influenced a lot of the decisions made. Both my parents were married before, and in their past wedding and their wedding together they did not have a traditional wedding. They just went to the court house and stood in front of a judge. I am the only girl in the family and was the last to get married, so I think they figured lets go all out.

The wedding turned out wonderful!! All my family was together - we all live in different states. I just wish it could have lasted a bit longer.

the biggest thing for us so far has been my dress at $1400.00... I got a great location to have the wedding/dinner/reception for 400$. My soon-to-be-sister in law is a wedding planner by profession, so I don't have to pay for that, and the flower shop that I'm getting my flowers at thinks that i'm using these flowers for a graduation, so the price dropped a lot. As for decorations, I went to a lot of dollar stores and got so many things that you would find at a craft store or somewhere like party mart, but all for 1$ each.

We are under $5000. Our rings were $2000 (I got them 50% off TEEHEE) and my dress was almost $700. The rest is being done by us to save a lot of money so I feel like im having a nice formal wedding for a fraction of the cost because so much is being done by me and family to save money.

We probably ended up right around $6000
We planned on paying for everything ourselves, my family helped with the rehearsal dinner and helped me with alot of details....not to mention the hours of free babysitting while I tried to get things done.
Jareds dad ended up giving us $2000, so that was a nice suprise. half before the wedding and the other half as a wedding gift. We had around 100-130 guests. While planning my wedding I was so thankful, for once, that I didn't live in or near a big city!! Our biggest expense was probably catering, and that was still only around $1300 with tip. I did alot myself and bargin shopped everything. Also got lucky on vendors, Photographer was a friend of my brothers ($500), DJ was a friend of a friend ($400) Catering was a restaraunt one of the groomsmen worked for, bar we supplied ourselves and had a friend bartend. My florist worked out of her home so her prices were amazing and my flowers were incredible! ($300)

Oh, and our rings weren't included in that cost...wedding bands were probably a total of $400ish. His is titanium and mine is a plain platinum band that we found in the estate section for a great deal.

Our budget was amazingly small. We did everything ourself & my bridesmaids helped me tremendously.

It was....
250 to rent the building we had the wedding in
175 for the keg
100 for the material for the wedding dress
50 for accessories for the dress (bra, shoes, hair clips ect)
35 flower girl dress
100 flowers
50 for the officiant
25 for misc cake stuff
75 for misc stuff.

Im sure there were a few dollars spent here and there that I didnt figure into the budget.

The rest was presents from the bridesmaids. I think I had the BEST bridesmaids ever!!!

So far we have spent four thousand dollars on our wedding to date and the actual event is six and a half months away. I think our whole wedding should come out to be about 14,000-16,000. A very steep price, but it is after all Our wedding day!
