Sorry this is SO random but I found this website especially for beach weddings, they have plastic bottles for the "message in a bottle" invitation.

I feel childish asking but wouldn't you feel better about getting a glass bottle? It certainly would make for a more 'real' effect.

I also found on another website some invitaions that fold into those Adirondack beach chairs. My problem with that is I would be SO picky about sending them with them being already folded (some of our family would totally not get the folding correctly part)

I am not spending a lot of money in other parts of the wedding so I have a little extra to spend on the invitations. What do you ladies think? Thanks!

I think you should do what you feel better about. Afterall, it is your wedding. Personally I like both ideas. But you have plenty of time (according to your ticker) to decide..take your time :)

Thanks, I know I have time, I just like to look and get ideas. I am getting a feel for what I'd like my wedding to be like. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't thinking like a crazy person by being so picky. I appreciate the help!

I think that the bottles are a great idea. It's definitely something unique that would produce a "wow!" effect.

i just had a beach wedding and i did a DIY message in the bottle ( you can find what i did in the DIY section). Everyone loved the plastic bottles. I don't think the glass ones are a good idea. They are more likely to break, will cost a significant more to ship and not really in my opinion going to change the impression from the plastic ones.

I am biased though since I used the plastic one and got great reviews from guests.

Hope that helps.

In the end, you have to do what you want and if the glass ones make you happier, go for it. I was on a tight budget and my invitations were around $100 with the whole message in a bottle idea..

Thank you for your help!

I haven't actually seen a plastic bottle compared to a glass bottle, I was just thinking thank a glass bottle would make more sense. I was looking into tinted bottles, like a nice blue or green. But you both are right, I have time and can decide whenever. I will just do some more looking.

By the way, I received a sample invitation of the Adirondack beach chair and it was really cool, but like I said before I would like it to be fully assembled before I send it that way it's easier for people to get the concept.

Anyway thanks again for your help ladies!
