The Wedding Day
The night before the wedding my MOH spent the night since she would be helping me get ready and was in charge of doing my hair. On the morning of the wedding, we woke up at about 6am, hopped in the shower, and we were ready to start on the hair by about 6:20am. The coffee was going and we were already about 25 minutes behind schedule. Oh well. We refused to be stressed!
We got the curls all put in my hair, woke up Jason and he rushed to the park to deliver the chairs to the wedding planner and to make sure she was there setting up all the decorations. Jason got back to our apartment at around 8:45am, showered and shaved as fast as could be (while I hid at the other end of the house so he didn't see me) and he was dressed and ready to leave at 9:15am. The Best Man came to get him and they made it to the park around 9:35am.
My MOH and I were STILL getting ready. My hair took 2.5 hours, but it looked perfect when she was done!! I quickly put on my make-up, which only took about 8 minutes since I had practiced so many times before the wedding. We had to help each other put on these stick on bras, and that was a funny sight to see!
Then on came the wedding dress, the lacey thigh high stockings, and the sassy red shoes. My MOH got dressed super fast, and we were out the door to head to the ceremony where we were exactly 25 minutes late. LOL. It didn't matter.
The music was going and everyone knew I had arrived, so they were making their way to the chairs. The wedding planner got the bridal party all lined up and we all took our turns walking down the aisle. When my song started playing and it was my turn to walk, all I could see was Jason. I didn't see the guests or any of my surroundings, only Jason. And his smile was the best thing I had seen in my whole life!
I made my way to him, and his eyes were all teary!! It was the most loving feeling, my heart was definitely over-flowing and overwhelmed.
The ceremony went by in just a few blinks, it felt so so so fast. Everything went just as planned, and then we were off to the reception where we enjoyed brunch with all of our family and friends. It was great. The champagne mimosas were so yummy and they were a HIT!
At about 1:45pm, we were swept off by the limo to take us off to our honeymoon! We said our goodbyes and off we went to Miami. It was sooo much fun and what a whirlwind!
If you get a chance, feel free to look at the wedding pictures and honeymoon pictures here:

So Jason comes home from work last night, I was half asleep already since he gets off at midnight...and after he showers and gets in bed, he says "So honey, I think I'm going to buy a motorcycle". I know he wanted to tell me while I was half asleep since I wouldn't ask to many questions. LOL.
So, we're getting a vintage motorcycle to fix up. And that will keep his testosterone busy for at least 6-8 months, so I'm not at all upset about that. My stipulations: 1) He can't spend more time with the bike than with me 2) He has to wear a helmet and 3) He has to take me for a ride whenever I want!
Ha ha ha. So he's happy. Now what should I buy? Just kidding. We're saving for a house (I'm the saver, he's the spender).

05-08-2007, 01:03 PM
haah to funny, I was reading this and was like wait, is this my journal? DH of just a month asked me if he could buy a motorcylce. Well, our garage is now taken over by a motorycle. What is it with boys?
You are nicer then me though, I was like hmm what can I get now? He bought me another wedding band. So good for you for not being greedy like me.
I am sure it will be fun to have something you guys can ride together. What are we going to do with our husbands?
tiffany.marlene
05-08-2007, 01:07 PM
ha ha ha. I don't know what their deal is. Really, I think they need to keep their manly side busy or something. But we both love vintage cars and bikes, so I can't wait to see how it turns out.
When I get in savings mode, no matter what Jason buys, I keep saving. It's like I get OCD about it or something. We want to try to buy a house in February when our apartment lease is up, and I want to have a decent size down payment...so I won't buy anything big for myself right now (especially not after paying for the wedding and reception!!)
NicksBride
05-08-2007, 01:09 PM
Well I am jealous that you are able to save. We just bought a house in October and we are barely able to save that much. But, he needed that motorcycle! so good for you and keep working at it. I am sure you are doing a great job!!!
tiffany.marlene
05-08-2007, 02:16 PM
It's a slow start into savings right now, that's for sure! I used this budget worksheet that I found online and found that if we make a few very small sacrifices, like bringing our lunches to work instead of eating out every day, just things like that, we can save over a thousand dollars a month. We didn't realize how much $ we were wasting on pure ****! LOL.
NicksBride
05-08-2007, 02:20 PM
So true! I make my coffee at work rather then buying it, if the store is close enough I walk.. etc. Buying store brands rather then name brands really does save A LOT! That is just awesome that you are following that!

We have also agreed to be very anal about the electricty bill. On average our bill was like $145 a month. IMO, that's way to much. Our goal is to lower it by $40 a month. We are turning of the a/c when we're not home, making sure lights are turned off that aren't being used, etc.
Oh, and we are going to start shopping in bulk as well. There are lots of ways to save money, it just takes away a lot of the convenience in our lives. It's just a matter of what's more important, ya know?

We do this now too. We went and bought those energy efficiant light bulbs that are swirly looking for ALL of our lights. Our electric bill was so much less last month!
NicksBride
05-08-2007, 03:35 PM
Yea those energy bulbs are awesome. They are expensive in the beginning to buy, but our electric bill is SOO cheap and they are really bright!!
We also shop at costco a bulk food store and we freeze meats and breads and stuff. Really does save us money!
tiffany.marlene
05-08-2007, 04:04 PM
I never thought of the energy efficient bulbs. How do you know which ones to get?
NicksBride
05-08-2007, 04:31 PM
It will say it right on the package. They are the the ones that kinda wrap around each other with one long strand of lightbulb. They are kinda funny looking, but work WONDERS!

So Jason and I decided that we want to start making babies. I have two daughters from a previous marriage that Jason is going to adopt, but he does want children of his own also. Soooo...
My question is:
How long does it take for birth control pills to get out of your system? I heard that once you stop taking b.c. that you should wait a few months before you really start trying to get pregnant so that all the hormones will be gone from your body.
Advice please!!!!
NicksBride
05-09-2007, 12:03 PM
It really depends on your body, most doctors say it takes three months out of your system, but in many cases women are pregnant a month after you stop taking them. So really, in any case practice makes perfect :winktongue: and if you are TTC then you should really check out babyraising.com which is run by the same women here and they are super helpful on questions and you can even start a TTC journal (Trying To Conceive) But in any event. Good luck!!!!
tiffany.marlene
05-09-2007, 02:10 PM
I had just heard that it's healthier to let the hormones get out of your body before trying to get preggers. Maybe I will check out the baby boards. Hmmmm.
So, tonight me and a bunch of my friends are taking my oldest daughter to the Gwen Stefani concert as a surprise. She has no idea! She is going to be so excited when she finds out...I can't wait to see the look on her face!

05-09-2007, 03:05 PM

tiffany.marlene
05-10-2007, 09:24 AM
OMG we had soooo much fun! She was super surprised, LOL. :D My daughter is 9, she'll be 10 in August.
She danced and sang along to every song, it was a blast!
NicksBride
05-10-2007, 09:27 AM
awwww that is just sooo cute. I am sure she just about died when you surprised her. :)
tiffany.marlene
05-10-2007, 09:47 AM
She really did. It was so funny because all the way to the concert, she kept trying to guess where we were going. I just wouldn't budge. So finally she had stopped asking me and I heard her start to sing a song in the backseat. It was a Gwen Stefani song!! LOL. And I said "SO, you like that song?" And she goes "I LOVE all of Gwen Stefani's songs!" And she starts talking about how for her 8th birthday we went to see Avril Lavigne in concert and asked if we could do that for her 10th Birthday if Gwen Stefani was in town. It was so ironic.
I was like "Sweetie, I don't think Gwen Stefani is going to be here for your 10th birthday". She looked so disappointed there for a minute. Then I said, "But when Gwen comes here in concert, I'll definitely take you to see her". LOL.
And then we pull up to the ampitheater and her eyes get all big and she's like "ARE WE GOING TO A CONCERT TONIGHT???????????" And I was like "YEP" and "Guess who it is??"
She looked like she was going to pee her pants. LOL
NicksBride
05-10-2007, 09:57 AM
haha that is sooo funny. I am sure she is bragging to all her friends at school about how cool she is.
I bet she puts on a pretty good show. i am not a huge fan of her songs, guess I am getting old haha. But I am sure she does put on a great show and she is a clean singer and really is a good singer. So neat.
The only people we get are country singers here. haha. I think we had Clay Aiken from American Idol as well..... :)
tiffany.marlene
05-10-2007, 11:01 AM
I'd say for the most part it was a "clean" show. She did say the "F" word once, but it wasn't in the most terrible context. Oh well. She puts on a really good performance, though, she dances and sings her heart out. She gets really in to it, and I think that's what makes a good show. You knew that she wanted to be there and she was loving what she was doing. :D

Nice!
So anything exciting planned for this weekend? After this weeks excitment?
tiffany.marlene
05-10-2007, 11:38 AM
Well, I did sign Deja up for a free introductory lesson in taekwondo. So that's this weekend. I hope she likes it, because I want her to start taking classes. I think it would be good for her.
Other than that, I have to do a serious spring cleaning since our house is a MESS and I am a neat freak. I haven't done anything as far as cleaning or laundry or anything since we got back from the honeymoon. LOL.
NicksBride
05-10-2007, 11:58 AM
Thats exciting for her to try. What a great idea!
you have no idea how messy our house is. We got back two weeks ago, I still have not unpacked. haha i am still doing laundry!!!

I love Fridays. I don't know why, but I am in such a good mood. Well, I was.
So Jason and I having only been living in this apartment since January, and we got a home phone, which neither of us have had in well over 5 years. The phone is in my name.
So this morning while Jason was home, a debt collection agency called asking for my EX-HUSBAND, and asked if he LIVED there. I was soooooo mad.
And they started asking questions after Jason told them that the EX definitely does NOT live there and told Jason that they would only either give information to me or to my husband and Jason was like "I AM HER FREAKING HUSBAND!!!"
Oh my Goodness, it was bad.
NicksBride
05-11-2007, 10:55 AM
Those people are awful! We almost have to tell people that the person they are looking for is DEAD! We got vonage so they do not get ahold of the number. It is just awful, they are sooo rude.
I hope that does not ruin your Friday good mood. They are just awful.
Isn't it great though to say HUSBAND with your new one? Its a good feeling I am sure!
tiffany.marlene
05-11-2007, 10:58 AM
That is definitely a good feeling. Sometimes I just stare at him and I'm thinking...wow...he's my husband. It's awesome. :D
NicksBride
05-11-2007, 11:01 AM
aww, that is soo sweet. I still get those moments as well. or when someone asks who Nick is, I can go. My husband!!!
tiffany.marlene
05-11-2007, 12:33 PM
Yep! I went to get my new Driver's Licencse today with my new last name. I look like a HoodRat in the picture, but it's nice to have the new last name!!!
NicksBride
05-11-2007, 12:43 PM
Wow that was fast. It took me three weeks to get all the name changes to happen. hahaha
It is really exciting though. I am sure you look fine
tiffany.marlene
05-11-2007, 03:50 PM
Well nothing else has been changed except my Driver's License. I still have to change all of my bank accounts, credit cards, bills, etc. That's going to be fun. LOL
tiffany.marlene
05-14-2007, 11:36 AM
Well, the weekend by went by too fast if you ask me. Taekwondo was really great for my daughter, so we signed her up on a month-to-month basis and it's $99 a month. I hate having the extra expense, but I think she really needs it.
Mother's Day kind of sucked. Both of my daughters were rotten all day, LOL, and I know it's the thought that counts, but Jason bought me flowers and left them in the car all night and up until about 11am on Mother's Day and then they were all wilted and kind of icky looking. Plus he signed the card out in his car while he was getting the flowers. Ugh! And then he looked hurt when I wasn't jumping up and down with excitement over the card and flowers. Um...it's okay though. We did have a super nice night together after he got home from work.
And now it's Monday again. Bleh.
NicksBride
05-14-2007, 12:05 PM
I am glad your daughter enjoyed her lesson, I am sure it was nice to see her out there kicking some butt. haha
Sorry Mothers Day stunk. Nick is like that as well, not really into doing stuff like that. For my birthday he nEVER gets me a card or anything. But I always say, its some thought anyway. haha. Hopefully your week gets better.
tiffany.marlene
05-15-2007, 09:40 AM
Jason is driving me crazy with the way he spends money. He wants our first big purchase as a married couple to be a new laptop - but I don't want to buy ANYTHING expensive unless we really need to. And we don't neeeeeed a new laptop. Sure, it'd be nice. But it's definitely not necessary. Oh and then, a month after the laptop - he wants a puppy. I would loooove to have a puppy, but I think we should wait until we have a house.
And we're going on another cruise in September, which we don't have to pay for the cost of the cruise, but I know we'll spend a lot of $$$ on shore excursions and shopping, etc. I feel like at this rate, we won't get the house by January.
And as far as the laptop, he says "Well, I can just buy the laptop and you don't have to pay for half, but then you won't really get to use it because I'm going to take it to work with me every day".
I won't get to use it? Really? :irked:
Pfffft. How about I sit on it!
NicksBride
05-15-2007, 09:56 AM
Yea, nick is also spending money like it is going out of style. Men, again as we talked about before have no concept of money.
Another cruise? You lucky duck! Where are you going this time? What cruise line? I am soo jealous. :)
tiffany.marlene
05-15-2007, 10:04 AM
Jason's parents decided to take the whole family on their next cruise (they cruise like twice a year). It will be his parents, his sister and her boyfriend, and then me and Jason and our two daughters. His parents are paying for the cruise, we just have to bring spending $$. I can't believe it either - it's awesome!
We're going on Royal Caribbean this time, on Freedom of the Seas. It goes to San Juan (Puerto Rico), Charlotte Amalie (St. Thomas), and Phillipsburg (St. Maarten). It leaves on Sept. 9th for a week.
From what I can tell online, the ship is amazing! It has ice skating, an actual water park for the kids, surfing ON THE SHIP!, flat-screen tv's in the rooms, a rock-climbing wall, and I don't even know what else.
NicksBride
05-15-2007, 10:06 AM
Yea, we are going on Royal Caribbean next year!! We are going with my mom, brother and his wife and Nick and I. We saw that ship and knew we had to go on that one!!!
That is going to be so much fun for you guys!!!!!!! You will have to let me know how you like it!
tiffany.marlene
05-15-2007, 10:08 AM
Oh I definitely will ! I'm sure after this cruise, though, I won't be going on any vacations for quite some time. LOL. Better enjoy it while I can.
NicksBride
05-15-2007, 10:10 AM
hahaha Yea I hear ya. But it will be worth it! Who can say that they went to the caribbean twice in one year? you are like a celebrity. :)
tiffany.marlene
05-15-2007, 10:12 AM
ha ha haha ha. well, since I live in Florida, it's kind of like being in the caribbean every day. lol.
NicksBride
05-15-2007, 10:14 AM
ohhh thats true! haha. I forgot that is where you live. So really you are close to port even and do not have to fly to the port. I envy you! I remember getting off the boat after our cruise and jsut wishing we lived nearby so that we could get in our car and go home. but we still had a five hour flight home. Hahaha
tiffany.marlene
05-15-2007, 10:17 AM
Ewwwww. It was definitely nice to only be 30 minutes from home once we got back to Miami. Our friend picked us up and dropped us off at home and we hopped right back into bed to take a nap. LOL. It does make it very easy for us to take a cruise, it's the most economical vacation for us since there's no airfare involved.
NicksBride
05-15-2007, 10:24 AM
hahaha nothing like sleeping in your own bed after being away for a week. haha
tiffany.marlene
05-15-2007, 11:38 AM
Well, he talked me into letting him order the laptop. We had $300 leftover from wedding money that he put towards it, so we each only have to pay $250 extra for it. Bleh. I think we could have lived without it.

05-15-2007, 11:49 AM
Thanks! I still find myself staring at my rings. It's cool to design something in your head and see it become a reality. I think Jason's family probably thought I was crazy that I didn't want a diamond, but an emerald instead. Jason looooves it, too, though, and that he got to get me a ring that I would truly love.

But the emerald is really just gorgeous!!!!!!

NicksBride
05-15-2007, 03:30 PM

tiffany.marlene
05-16-2007, 09:33 AM
Well Jason bought the laptop yesterday. Yep. That fast. I guess it will be nice to have, especially since all of my classes are online, so whatever. Moving on...

Believe me, I cannot say this enough I know excatly how you feel. DH bought a motorcylce in a matter of 4 days and he didn't even sit on it and does not know how to drive it. So there goes $3600 on something he may not even use....:bbeek:
I know, this week is going sooooo slllooowww! Hope it gets faster! :)

We are finally getting the remainder of our thank you cards in the mail today. I feel better because I think people wait for those cards in the mail if they gave a gift for the wedding. I think people like to be acknowledged.
Anyway, I got some goooood news today. One of my vendors bought Jason and I a wedding present - 4 tickets to see 'Rise Against' at the House of Blues in Orlando next month!!!
Last night we went to see Flogging Molly. We had so much fun!

Well, now that the weekend is approaching I am dreading it a little bit. I am driving over to Tampa to see my parents and grandmother on Saturday morning. It's a 5 hour drive from my house. My parents and I are not the best of friends, and every time I get there I am preached to about going to church and I am inspected for new tattoos. It's a Pain In The Butt!!! But my grandmother has been living w/ them for 6 months, and she's leaving next weekend to go back to Ohio so I have to drive over and visit before she leaves.
I'm spending the night and then coming home on Sunday. And then my next class starts on Tuesday, so my life is about to get chaotic again.
NicksBride
05-18-2007, 11:44 AM
Sorry to hear you do not get along with your parents. I am sure that makes for a difficult visit. but it is really nice that you are going to see your Grandma before she leaves. I am sure it is even harder to see her when she lives in Ohio. So good luck this weekend, I hope it goes OK. Drive carefully!!!
tiffany.marlene
05-18-2007, 01:27 PM
Yeah, well, my parents used to be kinda cool. Not anymore. It's fine, though, since they live 5 hours away. It mostly doesn't interfere.

I've been thinking about writing something for Jason since we will have been married for one month in about a week. Just to tell him how happy I am and that I love being his wife. Do you think that's corny?
NicksBride
05-22-2007, 02:52 PM
I think he will love it. I wrote Nick a letter about a week after we were married just thanking him for marrying me and how lucky I am to be his wife. He cried and still carries it in his wallet. I think it is really touching and something he will love!!!

tiffany.marlene

This was the last poem I wrote for Jason:
Key To Your Heart Girl
Dark candle ripples
the air like a private sea
Waiting for when you get home…
That girl is me
She swims without inhibitions
Simple, honest, and free
Happy, she is smiling…
That girl is me
Every single night in the
same private sea
Her lover/comfort swims near-by
To filter through her dreams
This lover/comfort with green gold-flecked eyes
Offers her the shiny key;
'The key to your heart girl'…
That girl is me
She takes the key and holds it close
Etched in beautifully and skin-deep
'I'll take good care of your heart' says the girl…
That girl will always be me

So this weekend I have to go to a toga party. Yep. I feel too old to be wearing a toga, and since I was never in a college sorority, I'm having a hard time getting excited about it. But, nonetheless, I'm going because it's my MOH's birthday party and that's what she wants to do with it. LOL.
Wish me luck in making a toga! Any suggestions?
NicksBride
05-25-2007, 11:52 AM
ohh that sounds like fun, but I agree it seems really collegish. haha. I have never been really. But when we were in high school we went to Greek Week and we had to make a toga. Get a white sheet, LOTS Of safety pins and just put it over your shoulder and around your waist. Wear stuff underneath as well!!!! :)
tiffany.marlene
05-25-2007, 04:20 PM
The girl that sits in my office was a sorority chick and she is JUST out of college (this is her first job). I bought fabric on my lunch break and she showed me how to make a toga. LOL.

05-27-2007, 11:18 AM
We took pictures with the hostess's camera. I just emailed her to ask her to email the pictures to me today. Jason looked kind of like a bald Jesus, but with lots of tattoos. LOL. I think I got pretty drunk. One of our friends, she's from Italy, made us this Brazillian drink with Lime, Sugar, and Cachaca. It's called a Caipirinha. It's deeeeelicious! Doesn't even taste like alcohol. Despite the togas, we had a good time and got to watch UFC...which was CRAZY!
tiffany.marlene
05-28-2007, 04:11 PM
Yesterday my friend Jessica came over and brought my dried bouquet and Jason's dried bout over. She had dried them for us while we were on our honeymoon. I am looking for DIY ideas to preserve/display them. Not sure what route I'm going to go.
She also gave me a cd with more wedding pictures AND the video DVD that she and her fiance took of our ceremony. Awwww. I watched it last night. I cried. LOL. I realized that I practically ran down the aisle. I walked down, unescorted, and I went super fast. I couldn't wait to get married! ha ha ha
So: here are a few more pics!

Must be a bride thing!
NicksBride
05-29-2007, 09:49 AM
hehe we just cannot wait to get to our man! With all eyes on me I didn't want to go any slower. my dad asked if he wanted to slide together slide together like the regular bridal march, i was like nope just make time. hahaha
tiffany.marlene
05-29-2007, 10:05 AM
Yup, those are my beautiful daughters. They were so adorable at the wedding. You know, I think I might have went more slowly down the aisle if I had been escorted by someone.
If I had it to do all over again, I would have walked down with my daughters at my side. Or maybe even walked with Jason, instead of having him wait at the "alter". LOL.
I don't know.

05-29-2007, 10:09 AM
haha believe me, I was almost dragging my dad. hahaha. But your daugthers looked so pretty. Great choice on colors. :)

wow I am impressed. I asked Nick what colors and he said "ehh, whatever you pick will look nice" hahaha
tiffany.marlene
05-29-2007, 12:04 PM
I'm pretty sure he picked Red, Black, and White so that I wouldn't suggest girly colors. Not that I would have. I immediately agreed that I liked the colors he picked. I would have also liked Tiffany Blue and White and Black or even just Black & White.
NicksBride
05-29-2007, 12:13 PM
Those are nice colors as well. Black goes with any bright color, I just love that. I think he made a good choice. Very flattering and genereally a good pick. :)

It's a 1964 Cadillac DeVille. It's amazing and it's being sold way under it's blue book value, so it's also a potential investment if we ever decide to sell it.

I'm going to have it cleaned, preserved, and saved for when my daughters get married!
NicksBride

aww, well your daughters are very lucky. That is a really nice thing to do!!!
tiffany.marlene
05-31-2007, 01:21 PM
My oldest daughter told me she wanted to wear it when she gets married. LOL. I don't know if she'll still want to when she's all grown up, but it's there for them in case one or both of them want to wear it.
When my mom got married to my step-dad, she kept her dress. It was a very simple, but very pretty dress. I ended up being in a beauty pageant when I was like 13 or 14 and she had it altered to fit me. So, I did get to wear my mother's wedding dress - but not for a wedding! It still felt very special to wear it, so I hope my girls get to have the same experience.
NicksBride
05-31-2007, 01:26 PM
aww that is so sweet for your daughter to say though!!!!!
I wore my moms prom dress for a pagent and she was just so excited that I got to wear it! It was really nice to do that for her. It was a gorgeous dress.
Funny how trends change so much though! I am hoping at least my daughter will see my dress that I wore. well if I have a daughter haha.
tiffany.marlene
05-31-2007, 02:41 PM
One thing I can say about pageants: I don't want my daughters in them! LOL. What a way to make a girl feel self-conscience!
NicksBride
05-31-2007, 02:50 PM
hahaha very true. But to each its own. Some people eat, drink, sleep paegents, have you ever seen the show "Pagent mom" ?
tiffany.marlene
05-31-2007, 06:46 PM
Yes, and I was horrified!!! During the few pageants that my own mother forced me to be in - I saw a lot of that pressure as well, on the other girls. My mom wasn't that bad, she just wanted me to have some confidence.
NicksBride
06-01-2007, 07:43 AM
Yea it really depends on the mother and the pagent. My talent was tap dancing, so my mom put me in classes, I swear I cried the entire time I was in the class. hahahaha!
tiffany.marlene
06-01-2007, 09:53 AM
Awwwww. Man, it's hard being a kid! The whole pageant thing just scares me. :grinhappy:

Saturday morning is Taekwondo for my daughter and then we have the open house for her new summer camp. The rest of Saturday is probably cleaning and laundry. Bleh. I was thinking of inviting 2 of my friends over for a chick-flick night. Haven't done that in quite awhile.

So it's Sunday. I feel like I waste a lot of time doing nothing. I'm so bored. So tonight will be the third attempt to meet up with my ex-husband to get the adoption papers signed and notarized so that Jason can adopt my daughters. I am keeping my hopes up that he will actually show up this time. It's been such a frustrating process. I just want to be done with it.
tiffany.marlene
06-04-2007, 03:10 PM
Sunday did not go well at all. The ex actually showed up to sign the papers, but guess what - His driver's license was expired so the notary wouldn't stamp them since the ID was not valid.
UGH! I was so super mad last night. This is a nightmare. It was also very awkward to see him in person, because it's been a couple of years. I couldn't believe that I used to be that guy's wife. Errr. Gross.

aww I am so sorry. I hope you are able to get it settled soon!
tiffany.marlene
06-05-2007, 02:22 PM
Me, too. Especially for my daughters. They love Jason to pieces and really want him to be their daddy. It's so sad.
I feel like I am having such a horrible week. Yesterday I got yelled at by my boss. I feel like I'm getting sick, or just seriously unhealthy. Don't know how else to describe it.
Got a letter from a collection agency that is working for this property management company that managed the last apartment I lived in. They are trying to get $3,600 out of me that I definitely do not owe - and I have to sue that property management company just to get my security deposit back, so I sent in the paperwork this morning to the county's small claims court. That cost me $175.00 to file.
I tried to call that collection agency this morning to dispute the charge and the guy called me stupid. He actually pulled up my credit report while we were on the phone and saw an unpaid medical bill from when my daughter was sick several years ago (that my insurance company was supposed to cover) and told me that I am an irresponsible person. Isn't that illegal? I didn't give them permission to look at my credit report. He told me that I'd never win my lawsuit, laughed at me, and yelled at me, then hung up on me.
WTF? And it is only Tuesday.
NicksBride
06-05-2007, 02:24 PM
oh sweetie I am so sorry. Collection agencies are just awful pigs who are trying to get their money. I had a problem with a credit card company and he called me those same names and called me irresonposible and such. They feel that if they harrass you enough they will get your money. It is really an awful job and I always tell myself that they are truly awful people to be doing this kind of a job and harassing innocent people.
It is just not fun and I am so sorry. You have every right to file it and should file it if yuo do not owe the money. That is just so wrong. Good luck!
tiffany.marlene
06-05-2007, 02:33 PM
It's hard to believe what they get away with. I looked up the collection agency online and found out they have been sued several times for things like practicing law or threatening legal action without actually being lawyers, they also use ficticious "desk names" so whoever you are talking to at the agency is not giving you their real name.
NicksBride
06-05-2007, 02:48 PM
There have been many many of them that had made me cry adn their reports were false. I had to have my lawyer call. Its awful!
tiffany.marlene
06-05-2007, 03:25 PM
I wish I could afford a lawyer. I am suing in small claims court and I have to represent myself. I wonder how long it will take to hear back from the courts about a hearing date.
tiffany.marlene
06-05-2007, 03:28 PM
I am an idiot. I forgot to make copies of the documents I sent.
NicksBride
06-05-2007, 03:36 PM
Usually around here it takes about a month...
Oh, I would call the place you sent the documents, I would have a copy of those. They perhaps can make you a copy and you can go get those. Don't worry, they will just copy them and hand them off!
tiffany.marlene
06-07-2007, 10:46 AM
I really think I am having a pre-mid-life crisis. I suddenly hate what I do for a living. I wonder if going to school for this career is going to fulfill me, and I honestly think that it won't. Not at this company, and probably not an another one, either. I am a Marketing Manager at a company that sells DISH Network, and some other little services and I am a little more than half way finished with a BBA in Marketing.
Right now, I am considering taking classes to become an Esthetician instead, which in this area, make about $30,000 less a year than what I make right now. Am I crazy??!!
I think I want a job where I help people, or I don't know how to explain it. I feel like I am not doing anything to make a difference in the world. It sucks.
NicksBride
06-07-2007, 10:51 AM
I am sorry you feel that way. I always feel that way. I enjoy my job and am glad i am doing what i am doing, but I never can sit still on anything for awhile. I will NEVER be rich doing my job and working for non-profits but I love it and couldn't do anything else. So I always say, don't look at the money aspect of it, look at what will make you happy!
tiffany.marlene
06-07-2007, 11:17 AM
Well, I guess it wouldn't matter if I didn't need that extra 30 Grand to pay the bills. But I know that I do. Bleh. I don't know what to do.
I know that part of the reason I feel like this is that yesterday, I messed up at work. I still don't know if the problem will be able to be fixed. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat until I find out. But, seriously, it puts my job in jeapordy because the company could potentially lose a lot of money.
NicksBride
06-07-2007, 02:18 PM

NicksBride
06-07-2007, 03:57 PM
oh phew! Glad it got fixed. Now you can breathe easy, and just look around for a new job. You never know when something will pop up! I just found my dream job adn applied for it, so we shall see. Again you never know!
tiffany.marlene
06-08-2007, 10:00 AM
Good luck on getting that dream job! I will keep my fingers crossed.
So, Jason and I went to see knocked up last night. It was sooooo funny. We laughted almost the entire movie. And oddly enough, I was puking when I woke up this morning.
Now, this is the first month that I have not been on BC. But, if I was, my period should have been here (according to the pack of pills) on 6/6. As of right now, I still do not have it.
But I'm not sure if it's because my cycle is out of whack from not being on the pills or if it's cuz I'm pregnant.
So, I'm waiting to take a test. I really don't want to get my hopes up in case I'm not.
NicksBride
06-08-2007, 10:31 AM

Let me just tell you, I am scared pant-less. This is the first time I'll be having a baby without health insurance to cover it. Yep, I pay for health insurance and it doesn't cover having a baby. Go figure. So, I've looked into some options as to how we are going to pay for it out of pocket, and it looks promising, but it's scary because this is not how I am used to dealing with it.
