My Dress Done

I finally got my dress done...and ready to go to the cleaners to be pressed. I like it a lot better this way. (excuse my mess in the backround, we were trying to hide from the guys LOL)

Why, thank you so much. I ended up having to sew the top band entirely by hand, so that took me awhile. Especially because Bruce doesn't want to see it until our day...so I can only do it when he's not home. LOL

But now it's done...and one more thing to check off the list!

No, actually I bought the dress, but it was soooo low that we were concerned about showing too much (especially because I have young grandchildren that like to be picked up. LOL) I had tried on a dress that had the blue band around the top and the bottom and really liked it...so thought I would do it to this dress.

Wow! I've seen red with white but I think I'm liking the blue even more! It's simple but it really stands out.

Well, thank you. When my Mom and I went to try on dresses, one of the very first ones I tried on had a blue band on the top and the bottom. It was my inspiration for doing that to this dress. My favorite color (and Bruce's too, believe it or not) it blue.
