The last book I read was an audio book, so I guess I didn't actually read it ;)

It was "You'll See It When You Believe It" by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

I love that guy. He just "makes sense". I am almost sorry though that he doesn't name names or get "right into it" when he talks about faith or a belief in a higher power. I suppose it's better for him that way though ..... he might sell more books and draw bigger crowds to his seminars.

The last book I read was Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella. It is one of a line of books by her. I love them all. I own 3 ( but have read them all ) and have just loaned them out including the new one I just finished.

Then you should really like this one "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. I "read" this audio book too; it is on 4 cd's so it took longer to finish, but it was good. I am selling my copy if you are interested ;)

The last one I read was The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It's a hard beginning, but once into it, it's pretty good.

The last real novel type book I read was "Desperation" from Stephen King. It's been a few years. Since I work full time and go to school full time, about all I have time for are school books. Blah. I have to throw in that Danielle Steele has written some beautiful novels. My favorites from her are "Accident" and "No Greater Love".

My cousin restored my grandmothers poems which were mostly about religion, she was very devoted in her Christianity and it really shows in her book. I am buying the book next week I think it is very nice that my grandmothers work is finally published.

by Elizabeth Battaglia (http://www.lulu.com/dbattag2)
Elizabeth Battaglia wrote poems almost every day of her adult life. After her death her writings were stored in one of her son's houses. After his death, the poems were found once again. The writings from 1945 to 1981 were typed to restore their memory.

I just got through reading one of Jodi Picoult's books - Second Glance. My favorite one of hers so far!! Chad and I took a long weekend and road tripped it to Dallas so I could go hear her speak! Chad had never even read any of her books, but he was blown away by what a great speaker she was. I nearly cried when I met her...I'm a HUGE fan!!

I think it was one of the Little House books. Maybe the Martha, or Caroline Years. Since the original Laura Years, they made the Rose Years, which I have, then found out that they started the Martha, Margaret (I think it was), and Caroline Years. I think its now starting with her great gma or something like that. I have yet to get every one, but I have a lot of them.

I am currently reading The Covenant by Naomi Ragen

It's 2002, and the Margulies family—oncologist Jonathan; his pregnant, American-born wife, Elise; and their daughter, Ilana—are contentedly living in a Jerusalem settlement, until one day, on their way home, Jonathan and Ilana are kidnapped by Hamas. Elise's frantic call to her Bubbee Leah in Brooklyn reunites four women—now grandmas and great-grandmas—who, as girls, made the titular covenant: if they survived Auschwitz, they would become "one person, risking everything, giving everything, to help each other live in happiness all the days of our lives." Leah gathers up fellow New Yorker Esther, now a cosmetics millionaire; Paris nightclub owner Ariana; and Polish political activist Maria to help find the kidnap victims. It's a race against time, as the women wield their considerable influence and the Israeli army desperately tries to intercede with the kidnappers before the captives are killed.

So far it's pretty good.

Right now I am reading a book called The Lasalle Street Murders. My very good friend is the author! She was a reporter and did a 20-year anniversary story on a cold case here in Indianapolis. Well, after she wrote the article she decided to write a book about the case. She was looking for one of the "persons of interest" in the case and got a hold of her ex-husband. When she told him why she wanted to get a hold of his ex-wife he became very interested and told my friend that he wanted to help her write her book because he knew the victims, etc. She ended up becoming good friends with this man. Well, in the process of writing the book she gathered enough information that she fingered a suspect in the case. The man was in prison at the time and she wrote him a letter and asked him questions about what he knew about the murders. The man called her and told her she had the wrong guy, the real killer was the man she had befriended! To make a long story short, he was right! She had been spending time with the killer - creepy! It's a good book! Here's her Website...

For Christmas I got a $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com, and then if you signed up for the credit card you got another $30 or something like that off, so I ordered James Patterson books- the ones with Alex Cross. Because I ordered so many I got more $$ off and ended up getting 8 books for $8. It was great. I read ALL the time. Its nothing for me to read a book before I go to bed (Although those are usually smaller books- like 100-200 pages).

I also am listening to the audio books by Sue Grafton it the alphebet series. So far I have listened from "A is for Alibi" and I have just started "G is for Gumshoe". I listen to them in the car, its really nice to do on my drive.
