8 years today

DH and I have been together for 8 years today. We just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary this past Sunday. Funny; when people ask how long we have been married, I seem to catch myself saying "2 yrs, but we have been together for 8" I guess I sort of wish we got married sooner.

Eight years is a record for me ;) Before this, 6 years (with my ex-husband) was my longest relationship.

I love him so much; I am so happy to have him in my life :wub:

We are probably not doing anything special. We did cards, a nice dinner and champagne for the wedding anniversary on Sunday. I will be happy as long as he acknowledges the day ;)

I never really thought about it. We have just always had a great relationship.

We share common interests, beliefs, dreams, goals and all that stuff. We communicate well and we don't argue. Sure we have disagreements from time to time, but we just talk it out and move on.

We say I Love You everyday (several times a day ;)) and we never take each other for granted. I don't know if these things are really our secret, but I know it is what makes our relationship great.

i was just thinking about this the other day. On our 1 year wedding anniversary we will have been together for 4.5 years. So i would prob. say "we've been married for 1 year but together for 4.5", too. Or i'd want to say that anyways,lol.

Second I sort of know how you feel. Matthew and I will have been together for 6 years, two week from now, and we get married two weeks after that. I already know that I'll be like yeah we have been married for a year, but together for 7! you know? Just so people know I guess I dk why lol.

Congrats! My hubby always does special stuff on our anniv. too.
Usually dinner and he also likes to run me a bath with fresh rose petals,a nd champagne....sooo relaxing, but when we have the little one it's kinda hard to do those things every night. shoot it's hard to talk every night!
