Jennifer & Mark - June 3rd, 2006

Yesterday we had our engagement pictures done. lol. less then 4 weeks before the wedding. :D Ah well.
We met the photographer Lora at Fairy Lake (local park) we did some nice ones of us sitting on a blanket under a tree and so on. Then we got into do some more fun pictures like us walking down a path, swinging on the swings, and chasing the geese! lol! That was great! We climbed some trees and Mark tried to dip me but nearly dropped me so there was one pic where i had a look of laughter and horror as i was falling. She showed us some of them on her camera and they were awsome! I am super exsited to see the proofs and how everything turned out! It was a total blast!
We also got some AWSOME news from her! She had another wedding on the 3rd so her partner Cheri was going to shoot our wedding. But Lora's wedding was cancled so we are going to have her and Cheri shoot our wedding! I was thrilled to hear that because that means we'll get more photos and more angles and since they both work differently the styles will be a bit different on the pictures. Cheri will get down on the ground and shoot. She does alot of high fashion shots, where Lora will get un above the couple and such. That totally made my day!

Mark and i also were able to get a whole box of favours finished. :bbmrgreen: 2 more boxes to go! lol. Oh well.... we left them at his mom's so they will work on them a bit for us too.

We also met with the flourist. We've ordered all our flowers. lots of white and pink roses, pink and white gerbs, tulips etc. We got boutinears and corsages for our parents as well. My parents are going to have hot pink roses. Marks mom and step dad are going to have Yellow roses and we're not sure yet about Marks dad and step mom because she hasn't figured out what she is going to wear.
I was a little stunned when she told me how much it would be. I totally forgot to factor in the supplies to make the flowers. I was thinking about the cost of the flowers themselves. Oh well... we can still make it work.

Ooooh other good news. We found the main floor of a house that we are going to check out and possibly rent. It's 2 bedroom, laundry, backyard and everything, utilities are included. The ad said no pets but when Mark called and asked about an indoor cat and the guy said that it would be ok and we should still come see it. The house is close enough that Mark can walk to work and its a house so it will be nice to have lots of windows and such. The basement is also for rent. So we're going to see about looking at it. But we'll probaly be more interested in the main floor. We're not totally sure, but we think it is a bungalow as well. So there probably isn't anyone upstairs. We're going to see it on Wednesday. So hopefully we'll have a place lined up soon! It's available on June 1st. So we can start moving our stuff in right after the wedding :bbmrgreen:

Sounds like you had a great day yesterday! Don't forget to post some of your engagement pics. I'm glad you got a lot of the favors done. Maybe FMIL will surprise you and finish the rest for ya. Your flowers sound like they are goign to be beautiful.
Good luck with the checking out the new place. That will be a big wieght off your chest, I'm sure, if ya get to rent that. Best of luck with the last 3 and a half weeks of planning!

We are going to meet with the photographers in a week or so to get our proofs. So i will post them when i can. I am looking forward to seeing them.

Well.... it's official my Aunt won't be coming, neither will my uncle. My Uncle feels terrible. Oh well.... what can i do? Worry? mmmm no. i'll pass on that today.

I'm feeling just a little stressed out today. My best friend and one of my bridesmaids just recently broke up with her b/f of 6 years. We invited them both to the wedding since i had no clue that things were not going well. I don't think he will be coming to the wedding since we only know him and are friends with him because of her. But i kinda feel like i wouldn't mind if he came. I don't know what to say. There is the possibility of it working itself out. But.... i don't know. I'm worried about her. And even more so now that he told me she didn't even tell her father why she was moving back home. I'm a bit worried that she might do something eles that is really drastic. :(

I had a bit of a moment this afternoon on my mom. I am getting so stressed about this whole getting the apartment packed and pretty and such so we can sell it. Not now. Neither Mark or i have the time. And i feel really weird about my mom coming up to help me and cleaning the hard water scum off the tiles. It makes me feel kinda incompitent. I can do it.... just finding the time to is the problem. I just lost it and started to cry. I am getting so fustrated with everything. I feel like nothing is ever good enough any more. ARGH!!!!

I wanted it a little higher and more ball like in the tiara. My hair dresser will do that on the day of. She wouldn't have time to do it today because she had another appointment. I made an appointment to have my hair trimmed with baby highlights put in the front just to brighten it up. I'm actually surprised how much gold and red i have in my hair. It never looks that bright to me. Ah well.... Oh... and the funny peice in the front that doesn't look like it completely fits is going to be cut into a long bang. It will be a side sweep across my fore head. I really hate having my hair all slicked back. I feel like i need the softness arround my face or a look like i have a bowling ball for a head.

Thank you Karen, I like that it's sectioned up like that too. It's so weird to see my hair so blonde and so shiney. It never looks that nice in the mirror. I am super exsited about it! Thank you. I hope it turns out well on the wedding day too! My hair dresser was great. She talked to me alot about what i wanted to do and what would suit me best. SHe did mention that it was going really well and my hair was really co-operating. It's so thick and i have so much it usually is kinda its own wild beast. It sure was when i walked in.... it's been pooring all day and the humidity was making me crazy! She was trying to hide it. lots of little twists are in there.
Anyways.... I am very happy with it. I found the pic a long time ago and thought it was perfect cause it was a nicer version of how i wear my hair normally. I just want more of a ball at the top rather then it spread out as much.

RSVP Update

I have 6 people to call because i haven't received anything in the mail 10 days after my deadline. And 13 people to call to get the names of their dates because they didn't send it with the RSVP card (man logic sucks).
Looks like we will be alot more within our planned range of guests then i thought. Had a bit of a worry there! At most we should have 126 people attend. With exception to my Aunt.... who may attend at the very last minute. Don't know though.

I was talking to my cousin tonight and she was asking about what's going on and if shes ok. Apperently my aunt called her dad (my uncle, her and my moms brother) and un-invited him to their house for the wedding. I guess she had said they could stay there. But now they can't and it was a huge ordeal over the phone. It sounds like my whole family is really worried about her. None of us know what's going on. She won't talk to any of us. I'm becoming more affraid that she is going to harm herself in one way or another. I love her and i don't like seeing her this way.

As far as your Aunt goes, you can have the law step into this if you have just feelings that she WILL harm herself!! Call your local police department they can help you out! My brother's friend in high school told my brother he was going to kill himself, Justin (my older brother) called the police and they contacted the right people. The friend was located and he was stopped from hurting himself! They put him in a hospital and this guy is still alive to this day! It ruined my brother's friendship with him but Justin knows that he is alive because he stepped up to the plate and did something, instead of sitting back knowing that he was going to kill himself!! You can take these steps if you need to, Jenn!! Take care and I hope everything works out for you! If you have these fears don't be afraid to get some help for her, it may be the only chance your Aunt has!!!

Well, i think Mark had a great time at his Bachelor party!
He came back with some of the other guys. He was pretty drunk. But very happy! He was soooo surprised! He had no clue what was going on. :bbmrgreen:
Him and the best man John drank an intire bottle of amaterto. Most Mark though. $5 a shot. He came home with just under $500.00. I was shocked to find out how much money there was. They played poker and such and half the winnings went to the groom. And then a tip guitar and everyone threw in some money for beers and such.
He is so happy now! He made a comment to his sister before this past weekend about how i'm getting all these showers. Then their is a joint shower for us at the end of May.... but nothing for him. lol! They went paint balling on Saturday too.... He's all black and blue from it now. Poor thing. But still beeming!

My last dress fitting went well! Everything fits just right, but the seemstress felt it needed a like tulle at the bottem to fill the bottem of the skirt out better. So they are going to ad that, and i have another fitting in a week i think.
We also ordered our cake. FINALLY! I will find a pic of the artwork she is going to do for us on the outside and post it in a bit. It's going to be white cake (ooooh so yummy!) and real icing. I am so looking forward to it because it will be so pretty!

He wasn't feeling so hung over. Just really tired more then anything. He slept from 3-7ish with his head on the kitchen counter cause he wasn't sure if he was going to be sick or not. Then he got into bed and slept until 10ish. He felt good enough to go play paint ball. So i don't think it was that bad. He slept about 10 hours last night. But i think that was simply because he was exhausted. He hasn't had a day off in weeks. He's off today and tommorrow but with the apartment being for sale.... we've got work to be doing. And then tommorrow there is showings so we have to be out in the afternoon.

All the guys have been fitted for their tuxes and they should be in oon May 31st! All the bridesmaids have got their tops and are in the midst of alterations. Its great!

Mark has been super giddy lately.... He's exsited about getting married! I love it! It makes me more exsited seeing him being all bouncy.

We had our first veiwings last night. It was neat. I was super nervous and ran arround like my head cut cut off knowing they'd be here soon. Last minute little pick up's. The first couple was really sweet. They were looking for an apartment for their daughter who was going to be going to school. She asked lots of questions. She even said our apartment was imaculet (sp?)!!! That made my day! The second veiwing they were very quiet.... thats ok.
We also got accepted to the house we are looking at. Unfortunetly we don't think we can afford the main floor. But we can have the basement if we want. We have a couple other apartments to look at as well. So hopefully we will know soon what's happening.

Today i am going down to this huge mall in the City. Vaghan Mills. My mom and i are going to see if they have more fiestaware so i can update my gift registrey and get some bits for my bridesmaids gifts and other wedding things. I am looking forward to it. I haven't had a girly day with my mom for a long time. After this past week busting our butts getting the condo ready..... its about time. we deserve it!

Well.... lots of fun news today. As posted before.... my condo conditionally sold. and we now have a place to move to in July! I can not wait!

Shopping yesterday was great fun! My mom and i had a good time. It was nice to spend some time with her and not have anything to worry about. I got a white peseant skirt. I'm thinking i will wear it with a fun tank top to the rehersal. Nice but not too dressed up. I want it to be casual because the wedding is going to be pretty formal. I got another skirt at old navy that is beige, dark brown and teal. It's lots of fun! :D

Tommorrow is a big wedding errand day for me. I've got to drop off the multi-tools for engraving, pick up a tux for the ring bearers bear, drop off the insides for the programs to the printers, buy more kisses for the favours, and buy picture frames for the engagement photos we are going to give our mothers. I also need to find a small thank you gift for the readers at the wedding ceramony. I have no clue at this point! Grrr! I also should pick up some birthday cards and gifts for my two friends who's birthdays are June 7th and 8th. I'm not sure i will remember or not. So i want to be safe.

Tonight i really need to work on the seating chart and getting ahold of some people about their guests names and putting together the seating chart and list so they can find where they are sitting. The sooner i get all this information and everything done the sooner i can get it to the printer and off my to-do list.

I can not belive how fast this week is going! 17 days to go! I am so exsited!

I was able to get my brain in order today and drop off the multi-tools for engraving. They could have done them for me today. But because i don't need them right away i will be getting them on Tuesday. I was surprised how fast they could do it. The girls at teh engraving shop were so nice too. It was great!
I found another groom bear. This one came with a tux. cost me the same as it would to buy a tux on its own. It's very cute. And will be perfect for pinning the rings on. I went to half a dozen shops today looking for a picture frame that i really liked for our mothers. Nothing. It's fustrating.
Kim reminded me today how close the wedding actually is. Somewhat frightening since there is so much to be done still... :bbeek: But i am soooo exsited! I can't wait to marry Mark. I feel like the luckiest girl ever. :D This afternoon i have to finish up the programs and get them printed so i can start on putting them all together.

Ahhh Friday! What a great day!

I got my hair done. Highlights in the front to brighten it up a bit. And she re-shaped it for me. I actually didn't have any length taken off. She didn't need to cut any because its in good shape. COOL! I've been wanting to grow it a bit longer because it drives me nuts that it won't stay behind my shoulders. She also gave me a long bang that i can sweep to the side.It makes my face look softer when i have my hair all pulled back. Anyways... I love it! :bbmrgreen:

I also got my cake topper and my tossing boquet. As soon as i get a chance i will get photos to post. The cake topper is the same as the 'R' on the pic of the cake we ordered.

Well IS supposed to mean good luck on your wedding day. My sisters wedding day it rains and stopped logn enough to get some pictures outside and for us to get into the reception site. For my freinds wedding yesterday it was supposed to be outside butit was all moved inside for the sake of showers. It only rained when we were inside and when we needed to be outside it stopped. And they had a beautiful double rainbow just after the ceremony. Made for great pictures seeing they were right on the lake.

I can't rmemeber if your wedding is outside your not. But those 2 weddings I was at and it rained it didnt damper the moods for the day at all.

I've heard that rubbing your body down with baby powder will keep you cooler all day. Thats what they do in Cuba...my seamstress is originally from there and she told me thats what they do and it keeps them cool all day in the sun! Thankfully Ididn't have to do that as I hate the smell of baby powder, but it is something ot pass on to those of you who may be facing a very hot wedding day!!

My favours are DONE! it didn't take long at all! I was thrilled! Now all i have to do is take them to the hall on Monday and get them out of my hair! YAY!

I dropped off my files to get the programs printed. This weekend i will put them all together. I've almost got all my place cards made! Just waiting on a few more people to figure out who the hell they are bringing as a date to the wedding. GRRRRRR f:censored: 'n tell me already! If you don't know 11 days before.... they arn't worth bringing! HUMPH! i'm a b:censored: ! But it's expensive!!! I won't even start on my cousins who haven't sent their RSVP's yet and won't return my e-mails. GRRRR!

Tommorrow i am getting my engagement photos. So i will post some as soon as i get a chance. We are going to have 3 5x7's printed for our gifts for our mom's. I have to pay my second payment... $350.00
Tonight i have to pick up some gift bags and such for all the wedding party gifts and buy some more camera's and my make-up. Hope i have enough money!

Ok.... i know i promised to post my engagement photos. I just haven't had a chance yet. I have to scan them in and i'm not a computer with scanning abilities yet. Either late late tonight or tommorrow morning they will be scanned.

Last night Mark and i got caught up in an traffic jam because of a car accident. We were stuck in the same place for more then an hour and it then took forever to get past it. We got home arround 1230-1am. I am exhausted today because i got only 4 hours sleep. Which has lead to a crummy sequence of events today.

After i went to the Dr. where she gave me a perscription to help me sleep i decided i was so wound up i needed to just chill out for a bit before i got into anything more. So i stopped by my mom's house. We ended up getting into a fight about the limo.
I am soooo agrivated about this. I really appreciate the gesture. But my parents booked a limo for us but didn't really ask us if that fit in with the plans. Now because of laws in Ontario i don't think my flower girl or ring bearer will be able to come in the limo with us which means that the MOH and BM won't be able to come with us because they are the kids parents. So i feel terrible having part of my bridal party left out. I also thought that the limo would drive me to the church then go pick up mark and the guys and bring them to the church. Apperently i am horribly wrong. My mother assumed that we knew that the guys had to be there an hour early and i wasn't allowed to show up right until 3pm. I DO NOT want to show up right at 3. I want to be there before the guests because i want everyone to see me for the first time at the top of the isle.
Anyways.... i am seriously feeling like i have to do what ettique says and what is tradition which i really don't want to do! I got so upset about tihs i simply told my mom it's MY wedding and i'm going to do it MY way and if someone doesen't like that it's not to proper ettiquet or completely traditional then they can go home. At this point she got really upset because apperently that was me telling her i didn't want her at my wedding. ARGH! I am so sick of this ****!
She tells me she assumes Mark and i know everything which we SO don't. Neither of us have been married and none of us have been to alot of weddings. Especailly ones that are as formal as ours is becoming. She then tries to play the well you guys are never here so we can't really talk about it all card. BULLCOOKIES! We are here as much as we can be but they've been out building in the backyard so much or on another vacation again that we can't talk to them when we are here. Plus.... MArk works close to 50 hours a week. She knows he's off on Sundays and Mondays.... but would you think that she'd do the logical thing and CALL no.... her excuse was that she know's its the only time we have together so she doesn't want to interfear. And she won't call him at work. However.... not more then 15 minutes earlier she called my cousin at work. I called her on that and said if it was important enough to her that she know what's going on she would call.
I am sooooo mad! I am still mad! She made me go lay down for a bit because i am over tired and such. I knew i would still be mad about it.... i honestly feel like i am going to cry. I can't take this **** at this point. I just want to cancle the stupid limo and get myself a nice white mini-van.

Wow... this has turned into way more of a vent then i had anticipated. It just makes me so crazy that this wedding sometimes feels like it is more hers then it is mine.
I haven't accomplished anything i wanted to yet today. It's rather fustrating. But i feel like i can't do much of anything right now. Just spinning my wheels a little more. Can i stomp my feet and throw a tantrum right now?! I really want to!

Thanks Girls. It was terrible. I felt like **** and my stomic started to hurt cause i was so stressed and upset by it all. I brought Mark back to my parents after he was done work and we worked it all out. They came up with another solution to getting the guys to the church. Agreed to me getting to the church before the guests are arriving and finding a solution to the kids if they can or can not go in the limo.
I felt alot better after we talked it all out. It's so fustrating having other people try to 'fix' things when there isn't really a problem. It's more that they just felt our plans where good enough. :bbconfused:

I am feeling awsome! I think i have a perma smile happening here. I am now only waiting to hear the name of onr guest. and everything will be set. We have to go to the caterer today and give in our final numbers, the reception co-ordinator will take everything we have read that can be set up before hand.

This weekend my MOH finished her part of the favours and i finished up the programs (I will get a pic today and post it). I had my final dress fitting and it is Perfect! YAY! The only thing is.... to get it tight enough i will need 2 BM'S forhold it tight while my mom laces the back up. The owner of the dress shoppe recomends allowing 45 minutes to get me in my dress. :bbeek: Thank Fully the bridesmaids dresses are easy to get into. I still haven't seen it all together. But i am so exsited to! I've got to finish up my table arrangements and lay out all the place cards and get them in the right order. We have 13 tables plus the head table.

Yesterday my cousin and his wife threw a party for Mark and i. We did really well. Mark got to play bride and get the fancy chair and the bows on his head. My dad got a goot shot of him wearing some Tulle that looked like a veil. It was great fun! My uncle (who is a chef) gave us a whicked knife and sharpener that my mom got this past christmas and adores! Apperently it will sharpen the crappiest of knifes! We got a ton of towels. They are soooo luxurious and cozy feeling! A lasagna pan that is the same brand as the pots we requested. All the bathroom accessories also. Mark was impressed by what i had registard for when he wasn't with me.
We also got to open some more Wedding Gifts that had arrived at the house. Another 45pc set of our china. Now we have all 16 place settings we had asked for. 2 of all the serving bowls, creamers and sugars, and such. I was amazed! I have to get started on my thank you cards for the wedding soon.

Thanks for everyones kind words. I can not belive it is 5 days away now.... i get a littl funny feeling in my stomic when i think about it. But then.... i am soooo exsited i can't wait! Conflicting feelings are crazy! My speaking ability has gone the tubes a bit. I am getting more and more toung tied when speaking. So i am half expecting the only words i will be able to say on Saturday is "I Do" LOL 'Jenn Would you like some Tea?' 'I do.' 'Jenn are you happy with your hair this way' 'I do!' lol! Oh man. I would laugh every time i said it if it got that way! :D

So.... its all coming together. I still have a couple things to do. Mostly important too.

- Take out money for church and preists and give to John
- Deliver rings to Kim and John (MOH & BM and parents of ringbearer)
- Pick up my dress on Friday morning
- Finish cutting out table cards and put them all in order
- Print table Seating chart and get frame for it
- Mail thank you notes from Sundays shower
- Wrap tossing boquet stems in ribbon and take over to reception
- Find my cake cutting knife and deliver it to reception
- confirm with caterer any other allergies that i forgot at my last meeeting
- Mark's tux is in so he has to pick it up this morning
- Payment for Jazz band should be given to John
- Confirm that Laura made Guest Book. If not... Buy one!
- Have flowers for centrepieces and boquets made.
- Deliver flowers to locations required on Wedding Day
- Confirm if my Aunt will still be making the card box or not. (doubting it) We will be using the nice white mailbox Cardinal provides if not.
- Pack bags for Wed, Thurs, Friday at my moms
- Pack bag for the wedding night

I think thats it. Other then party.... attend rehersal... party some more.... get hair done... calm my nerves about being infront of everyone.... and party like a ROCK STAR in the words of Lacey! :bbmrgreen:

Last night Mark and i came up with a game for everyone to play in order to have us kiss. I really hate the tinging of the glasses. That's too easy! So everyone has to come up wth a poem and resite it for us in order to get a kiss.

Mmmmm I also need to confirm with the Hotel. I tried to call yesterday but the woman i was speaking to was a pain in the arse and i just about lost it on her. Insted i hung up. But i was trying to get details on check in time for the honeymoon suite which is apperently 2pm. Which is NOT possible for Mark and i to do considering the ceramony is at 3pm and about 45 minutes away from the hotel. So i was asking if there was anyway we could check in earlier (please hold.......... WTF?) Anyways.... can i check in earlier? Apperently only if the room is empty the night before. Which at this point is 50/50. Can you check?! (please hold...... ummmm do you know what you are checking for now that you've put me on hold?) Hi.... So you want me to check if the room is available the night before? Yup.... Yes it's still available but there is a 50/50 chance it will be booked before then.... I'm thinking.... in 4 days?!? Right..... chances are slim in my mind. So i ask.... Well can my dad come earlier and check us in? Will he be the one paying for the room? No... i am. Welll.... can you hold for a min? At this point i loose it! I've been on the phone for 5 minutes and totally feel like i am not important because i am not standing right infront of her! F:censored: K!!!! So in my most favourite sarcastic tone.... No, i'll call back another time when i can speak to someone who has more time. and i slam down the phone and go on a rant to Mark. How infuriating! I am going to call the wedding party planner Jennifer today and speak with her. Atleast she will give me the decentcy of not answering other peoples questions while on the phone and i can still hear her. And won't put me on hold 3 times. Fer F*cks Sake! I was so mad! Still kinda am! I think this has been my biggest bridezilla moment of them all. I just hate ****** service. Especailly when i don't have alot of spare time on my hands.

Thanks Lacey... I'm a bit shocked still that it is now here. I am feeling pretty good right now. Everything is pretty much done. Just a couple more errands to run and i will be set to go.

I am going to the airport today to pick up my best friend Ashely. She's coming in from Calgary. I am really looking forward to seeing her since its been 4 years since we last had a good visit! I feel like her arrival is the start of all the wedding partying! lol. Time seems to be moving really quickly for me which is nice.

Today i have to go to baker and pay the remainder of the balance and drop off the cake topper.
Drop off the containers for the left over cake, my tossing bouquet, seating cards and chart, and tell her about our kissing game. Also take the cake cutting knife and im sure there are some other things i am forgetting because i haven't got my list infront of my right now.
I have to pick up my photo prints from the photographer so i can put together the thank you gifts for our mom's. and write all the cards. :bbeek:
Tommorrow we are picking up the flowers and the flourist is coming over to make all the arrangements and such.
The only other thing i can think of that i haven't done and need to do then is pick up my dress and go to the rehersal.... oh.... and write my speech. oops! :bbredface:

Well! We made it!!! Mark and i are Married!

Everything went off perfectly! Nothing went terribly wrong! I am so thrilled! Everyone at the church was amazing! I didn't cry tooo much! Just got a little teary eyed when i was walking down the isle.

The ceramony was great! Father Jim made it really nice and light hearted because he was a teacher of Mark and one of the groomsmen's in Highschool.
My neice and nephew who where the flowergirl and ringbearer made it down the isle without a hitch. We were a little worried owen would freak out and run. But it was great! Owen fell asleep during the ceramony and started snoring. It was super cute! :bbmrgreen: I made it through all my vowes and didn't mess anything up too badly. Doesen't matter really though. I am very happy with the way everything turned out!

It poured rain all day! I didn't really care though. I do love the rain. I was a bit bummed that the photo's wouldn't be able to be outside. But.... it wasn't the end of the world and the photographers brought all the stuff to do the pictures inside. It felt pretty neat having all these photo's taken. It was great to have the 3 of them. We got lots of photos and fun photos and candids.

The limo driver was a little crazy.... we were a bit scared of him. He drove on the shoulder and terribly fast. He went through a red light. Then completely missed the church. We told him it was up on the right and he couldn't miss it. Before we knew it.... he was passing it. So he pulled into a side street and proceeded to back up into on coming traffic. Thankfully it was ok and nothing serious happend.

Dinner was awsome! The food was fantastic! I was impressed that the server for the head table came up and said that i would set the speed for the meal. I was the first to get my plate and then she would cme ask my permission to remove the dishes. It was wild! We got some pretty creative poems for the kissing game. It was fun! The speeches where awsome! Mark's dad pretty much had us all in tears when he got up and told me that he's felt like i have been apart of the family for the last 6 years and how happy he is to formally welcome me to the family.

When the dance finally started... it was packed. I think everyone got up to join us on the dance floor! It was exsiting! All night there was atleast a dozen people up dancing. The music was perfect! Alot of our friends and family told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been too. We had friends thanking us for having such a great party! It was really fun! My favourite is our friend Roxanne who has 3 little girls. one who is 6 and twin 3 year olds. Our wedding was the longest she had ever been away from them, she had 5 drinks over her limit which is 3, and danced more then she did at her own wedding. I was so happy to hear she had such a great time. I danced my heart out. I was so exhausted from it but it was great! They actually told us we had to leave cause it was done. There was still more then a dozen maybe 2 dozen people there. :D

The one slightly annoying thing was that the DJ we had originally met with wasn't there to begin the night, so the DJ who was didn't know how to pronounce everyones last names properly. So he introduced Mark's dad and younger sister wrong. Mark and i were freaking out that he would introduce us wrong which would have been pretty crummy. But Mark's Aunt who shares the same last name as us got up, walked across the dance floor and corrected him. Thankfully it was ok. The other funny thing was that we were waitng in the line up to be introduced in and my mom was missing. We couldn't find her anywhere. The introduced my parents and my dad just stood there like.... what do i do? Finally my mom comes through the doors where we were supposed to come out. She was sitting at her table when they introduced her. It was great seeing her come through the doors then turn arround and go out again wth my dad!

All in all i am extremely happy with the day and the way everything turned out! I will post pictures soon. I am just so tired now i think i need to have another nap.

Well.... i should get started on my thank you notes. But i am really not motivated to do so. I dunno why. I just can't seem to bring myself to even look at them.
Why is this??! I'm trying to figure out how much time i have to do it all. I've heard 2-3 weeks they should be out. But i have also heard at most 8 weeks. That is some major time difference. I'd like to include pictures of us. But i'm not sure what the turn arround time will be.
So far this week i really have felt like doing a whole lot of nothing. I just want to chill out and surf the net, have a nap or two, watch tv. All sorts of lazy things. It's so nice out, but i don't really want to go anywhere. I want to crawl back into bed and stay there all day. :bbredface:

First off, Jenn those pictures are amazing! Everythign came together perfectly. I'm the day went so well for you. You and Mark look so happy together!

I think for wedding thank yous it's up to 8 weeks. I thought the bridal shower ones were 2-3 weeks. I could be wrong though.
You deserve to take some time and relax. Enjoy it! Maybe give a call to your photographer and ask the expected turn around on the pictures so you have an idea.

Well..... it's been 4 days. And i am super bored now. I've been home on my own with no planning or 'Do it Yourself' projects to do. So i have little to do. The apartment is looking pretty good. I'm not feeling depressed about the wedding being over. I am just bored and i need something to do.

Unfortunetly where i live there isn't much you can do on your own without acccess to a car. I've been inside almost all day for the past 2 days cause i have no where to go. I'm kinda bummed that i don't even have anyone to get together with. The crummy part about living in the same town as the college is now that it's summer. Everyone has gone home.
I am really looking forward to moving cause we will be closer to our friends and families, plus Mark will be able to walk to work so i can take the car and go take some classes in the evenings to keep myself occupied.
ARGH! There is so many times a day that you can check you're e-mail. There are only so many times you can whipe the kitchen counter. I need a new hobby. I finished my last hobby. :bbcry:

For the thank you notes, you have about 2 months to get them out. People understand that today women have jobs and responsibilities. It isn't like 50 years ago when you came home to house and the only thing you had to work on was making a baby and nice dinner every night for your hubby. Plus they don't all have to be out at the same time. I write maybe 5-10 a night while Sean and I are watching tv. I just drop those in the mail the next morning. It isn't like poeple are going to be calling each other and compairing notes or time schedules.

Well... Here is my "And Beyond Part".

Mark and i are looking at an apartment closer to his work. It's a bright basement with lots of space and storage which is nice. But they are doing renovations and putting in a kitchen and can't gaurntee the kitchen will be 100% complete when we are supposed to move in. I am beginning to have alot of doubts and concerns about it. My anxiety level is going through the roof because i can't see the final product. Plus i am pretty much stuck doing this all on my own signing the lease and getting everything in order and asking all the tough questions. I am really not a tough person. I am really kinda a chicken at times. Part of the reason i love Mark so much and we fit so perfectly is because he picks up where i leave off. The things i am no good at he is great at! He is MUCH stronger and more capable of dealing with people and problems and such. Argh!

I've been trying to get the motivation going to write my thank you notes. I haven't even looked at the cards again since we openned everything on Sunday. I should do it.... but i don't know why i keep procrastinating. Oh well... one day they will all get done. Procrastination is the key to success? Maybe.

My dad printed off some of the photos from the rehersal and the wedding. They turned out pretty good. Hopefully soon we will get proofs. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Well.... Mark and i have an a fantastic 2 days together. The first since we got married. He went back to work the Tuesday following the wedding.

Sunday we had nowhere we needed to be, nothing we needed to do, nobody we needed to talk to. It was fantastic! We chilled out for the morning, then did some shopping in the afternoon, had an early dinner at Kelsey's, then went home to watch the movies we rented. North Country and Just like Heaven. Both were good. But i much preferred North Country. It was a nice quiet day together.
Then Monday we spent the day together too since Mar doesen't work on Mondays. We went to the bank and got all the paper work we needed done to put eachother on our accounts (god forbid somthing happen) We also organized our savings and loans. Fun Fun! After that we picked up the photo's that were on the disposable camera's at the wedding. There are some great photos! I will post them here later today. The people at the photo developing place are stupid! I bought pre-paid developing cameras sp all i had to do was drop them off and not worry about more money. I dropped them off on Saturday afternoon and the teller looked at me with the.... what to do you want look when it came to the 1 hr service or the 5 day service. Hmm.... if there is no difference then i may as well get the 1 hour service. I ask him if i can get that and he tells me that it's fine, but i won't be able to get them in an hour. Makes scence considering there are 12 cameras. So i ask if i can pick them up on Monday. He says its fine and so i go on my merry way. Mark and i go in yesterday and they want to charge us $2 for every film because it was the 1 hour. EXCUSE ME??!! Umm.... pre-paid film. They tell us there is a $2 charge for the one hour service. Well the guy i dropped the film off with didn't tell me that. Common! If it was going to cost me more i wouldn't have asked to get them on monday. I would have said fine then i want them in an hour or whatever i will pick them up next weekend. It's not like i was in a huge rush to get them. Anyways, the manager talks to us, and he says he came down and asked the kid if he told me about the extra charge. And the kid said yes.... ARGH! It fustrated me.... but they ended up just deleted the charges and let us take them. It was ridicuosly stupid. Anyways.... After that Mar and i went to see a movie. The Break Up. It was pretty good. Lots of moments in their relationship i could relate to at times. I enjoyed it.

I finally started on writing my thank you notes late last night. It was good. I think i will be able to finish them by the end of this week. I hope. Considering i have all day today and tommorrow at home with nowhere to go really. Although i did get a contract to do a ad for a music night. So i have to get that done today as well. Lots of fun fun things! Not to mention cleaning the bathrooms and vacuuming. Oh Joy!

Anyways, not much happening here. I haven't been feeling so great this evening. For the second day in a row now i have been feeling very shakey and anxious. I'm not intirely sure why. My best guess is because everything is chaning so much now and i'm not quite adjusting to it yet.

Good news is. We found out yesterday that there are 2 townhouses coming available for rent on my SIL's street. It's a stones throw from Mark's work, 3 bdrms, 1 bath, good sized kitchen and dinning room, large living room. No basement or backyard, but a single car garage and driveway and a nice small front yard. Rent would be $150 less then the place we had been looking at which was a large 1brdm basement. We put in an application a month or so ago and now they have to do a quick credit check on us and interview. The credit check should be ok. There are people on the street who have had alot of credit issues and they were accepted. So were feeling pretty good about it all. :bbmrgreen: Just need to get the word. The one tough thing about it is that we have to be moved out of our apartment by July 31st. But this townhouse wouldn't be available until August 1st so we would be homeless for a night. However. We will be able to stay at my parents if we want. We may do that anyways since commuting from Barrie to Keswick to Newmarket back to Keswick and the Barrie every day is a super long drive.We'll see how it goes after the first week or two. We might stay at my parents during the week for July and go home on weekends.
I should be working on packing everything up. But.... i'm having a hard time getting myself to do it. I don't know why either. It's really fustrating because i know later i will be mad about it and busting my butt and rushing through it so it won't be done as well as i would really like it to be.

I think next week i am going to go and get myself a gym membership. I keep thinking to myself that i want to get out and exercise. I want to eat better, i want to feel better about myself. Some of the photos from the wedding made me sad to see that i was that big. Like i'm not really big. But i'm just uncomfortable with myself now. I'm thinking i can join cruves up by Mark's work. I can go in the evenings before i pick him up from work. That would give me 4 days a week to go. Not bad. I know with working i will start to eat better. I will be busier so i won't eat out of bordum. And i will be more likely to take snacks like veggies with me to work. I don't know why. But we never seem to have any food besides cereal in our house as it is now. It's sad.
I also think if i'm going to the gym i'll phsyically feel better. Hopefully not be as tired and have some more energy and maybe not as achey.

My grandparent's are still in Thorold, along with the rest of my dad's family. We lived in CFB Trenton from 88-92, then we were onto Borden for about 8 months before we moved back to the Edmonton area. My parents are still there (Edmonton). Now we're moving to Saskatchewan. Am I not one of the most well traveled person in Canada?? lol. I will have lived in three provinces. And driven across Canada numerour times! I must admit that I don't find myself lucky so much as burdoned by this traveling! lol

Provinces are very much like a state. Except our provinces seem to be huge in comparission to most states. I'm not sure why. But they are run pretty much the same way. We have a seperate government for each province.

Jenn, I know how you feel with the moving. I didn't feel like packing either and kept putting it off until the last minute. I think that is what overwehlmed me so much. Getting a gym membership sounds like a great idea. Hope it helps you feel better.

I think i am feeling the same way. Completely overwhelmed by all the stuff we still have. We packed up alot of stuff before we put the Condo on the market. It seems to have multiplied and i don't know where it is all coming from. Honestly we have alot sorting and throwing away we need to do too.

I also know that feeling! When I first moved out on my own a little over 2 years ago, I bearly had anything. I can not figure out for the life of me where, and how, I ended up with all the stuff I have now! You have a few weeks yet. Take your time packing. I found I felt the least stressed when I only worried about doing 1 or 2 boxes a day. If I felt like more, then great. But that helped towards the end. Also, as your packing, seperate the stuff to get rid of. Then take a trip to the salvation army, or whatever you do with your unwanted stuff, and drop it of. It is less to move then!
